Ha, this will date me, I recall the 1st game we ever played FL State. It was 01/04/72. We lost by 1, 62-63. That year FL State went to the NCAA Finals and lost to a John Wooden UCLA team by 5. For that year we had junior Harry Rogers. For me, one of the best players to put on a Billiken uniform. Only if Harry had a 3pt line and a freshmen season, no one would be touching his records.

I agree. I wasn't saying that he can't, just that he doesn't when other guys are the focal point - and he won't be the focal point on day 1. But again, his ceiling will be as high or higher than anyone's. With increasing consistency in his perimeter shooting this season, he really looks like a big-time player to me. And yes, I also love what he brings defensively. We could run Goodwin-Thatch-Hargrove-French-Gordon at times next season and have shot blockers at all five positions, not to mention rebounders.

I think this spread is closer than a lot of people expected it to be. The actual variable spread is 5-7pts. in favor of FSU....allowing for a 3 pt margin of error...favorable bounce , good reffing ..or not ...the spread could be as close as 2 pts....one 2 footer that drops or a couple of FTs. Their defense on paper is just average BUT....they are good at forcing errors and keeping the opponent to 1 shot /possession.. We need to hold them to 70pts or less. The good news is we have established the trend of playing to the competition. This will work in our favor. This should be a close game the whole way....What can go wrong? If we start to turn the ball over....blowout......No 16-22 TOs...need to keep it at 12...and the differential needs to be in our favor....3 in our favor gives us a good chance to win. Finally we need to have a decent slash...which means we have to make the 2s ...the easy ones...2 footers and fast breaks. ...also make some FTs...I know it's a struggle to hit 70% but there is no excuse for shooting in the 40s or 50s.....shooting below 60% will probably mean a loss. Bottom line...This game is very winnable....It will be played on neutral ground which will be a big help. My numbers show this team to be equal to Hou (especially against us)...and we battled Hou to the final seconds with a chance to win. This game will be about great offense against great defense....The unstoppable force against the immovable object. If we play FSU like we played NCC in the 2nd half ...we win. Go Bills

This is one of the worst post of the year. Goodwin is a sophomore and a leader on a team picked to finish top in the a10. He's had some good moments and some bad. He's human. He went 3-15 from the field, sometimes shots don't fall. He found a way to contribute in other facits. You don't see him sulking around after making a bad play. Goodwin wasn't the reason we got steamrolled. I blame pestello personally. (Blue font). Let's go fuok up some a10 teams.

They aren’t bad. They were over hyped, not just on this board but by both local and national writers. They also suffered some losses that we under played. Santos, Welmer, and Elliot arent playing I don’t think we ever admitted how bad those losses were going to hurt. They also have a poor roster construction. No point guard no shooters and to many similar players. The Bills are a good A10 team but when they play national powers they are going to get steamrolled 9 times out of 10. The season isn’t a loss. I may be crazy but I still think they can win the A10 and go dancing. FSU is a final 4 quality team. I’m not going to let that slaughtering dash my hopes for a successful run this year.

Let's remember this is a young team at core positions. Chemistry issues with a "questionable" offense. There's still plenty to be optimistic about. Conference play hasn't even begun yet.

This team should not be bad. That's on the coaching staff.

I think we should hold off on A10 predictions until Jan 5th. This team can dominate but not w/o some changes.

This game was a lot like that Oregon game back in 12-13. A team not known for 3's hits over 50% of them. Yeah, it was bad. No excuses, but this game is not a season wrecker.

Everyone has been so busy complaining about Goodwin and Isabell that French has gotten a pass. He has been as big of a disappointment as anybody on the team IMO.

Well we best win the A-10 Tourney if we want to get in the NCAA Tourney because this effort is embarrassing.

I think our defense has looked fairly solid. These guys are actually one of the best teams in the country. We can defend with them. We just lack the offensive pieces. And again I think it would be different if we wouldn't of had the events that happened last year. Also think Santos really helps with big physical teams like this. Just sucks

i think you mean an at large bid. auto bid means winning in Brooklyn in March. i totally agree our at large bid will still be possible with a win tomorrow. if we lose tomorrow, a 70 NET wont cut it. probably the highest at large will be under 50. and with a possibility that the first place A10 winner will be a 70 NET just wont happen. now we havent seen how the NET will work. i am assuming the rankings wont be all that different than rpi but we shall see if a monster A-10 record, with maybe just 3 or less losses against very mediocre to bad teams like the a-10 is shaping up to be will still pull that good of a ranking. i am doubting it will. we need to win tomorrow.
