  1. I feel like Schertz is getting EXACTLY who he wants to get, within realistic expectations. I am pumped for November!

  3. Only one mid listed. Yep, Zaga. I’m not sure what Houston is but they were numero uno. We got listed at #5 below the line, so ESPN predicts we are in top 30. Other below the line mid was San Diego St. I’m not going to get overly excited, yet, it’s heartening to see us listed after the last two seasons train wrecks. The hangover in 22-23 lingers. After all we SLU. But let’s go with the positive. Schertz has had an impact and am looking forward to Oct. One question; where did Caleb Love transfer to? AZ was listed in the top 25 but he was not listed as a starter. Curious is all. I don’t want him. Chemistry killer.

  5. You missed "for young players who need googles." Sorry, it's the wannabe editor in me.

  6. I assume that we are a month away from our schedule announcement, but BYU just released their full schedule. They will play SLU in St. Louis on Thursday, Aug 22nd. That would be the second week of the season.

  7. Make sure you bring up their 0-19 record and make sure to mention they lost to Vanderbilt. That crowd will love it.

  10. It’s almost as if he has a plan. And will have the majority of team assembled by May.

  11. D worries me. A10 guards lick their chops when we’re their next game up. Remember Rick’s mantra Defend and Rebound. He got this from Al McGuire who said something like offense is like a flighty girlfriend. Hot and Cold. But D and Boards are the constants.

  13. To be fair, the previous logo was also really bad. Bad brand, bad school, bad athletic program, bad fans. I can't stand GMU. Keep up the bad work, losers.

  14. Why are you limiting the sample size on 3 point shooting to only last season? Here are the career shooting numbers: Jimerson: 39.5% Swope: 38.4% Avila: 37.2% Hughes: 36.5% Thames (small sample): 35.1%

  18. Rebounders, Shooters and Rim Defenders/Shot Blockers ISU took 50% of their FGA behind the arc. On the roster today we have four 36% three point shooters and one 39% shooter. Need another high 30's / low 40's. With today's roster, I'm not seeing where the boards are coming from. Avila 6.6 and Thames 3.7 lead the pack. It would be nice to have someone who could average 8 or so. The 45 total blocks last season from our current roster isn't enough. Last season the Bills had 101 blocks, which wasn't sufficient. Neither Thames (4) nor Hughes (3) showed much blocking the rim. Avila had 24 blocks, Jimerson 7, Casey 6, Swope 1 and Dotzler 0.

  22. Great city. Met some great people. My now wife moved up for the last half of my time and had a great job there. Thought seriously about staying for the long term but the homeland was calling the both us. Very affordable. A lot of fun things to do. The CWS was my favorite week of the year--highly recommend to everyone. I love Hermann but Morrison has to be the coolest in the NCAA. Its been a while since I've been back but unless anything has drastically changed their facilities are pretty much on par with ours (barring the soccer stadium and baseball stadium) and they've been BEast for 10 years.

  23. This is a vibe. Maybe I have too much admiration for Creighton, but I think this kid is likely going to start for us pretty quickly.

  24. I’ll state for the record this guy is gonna be really good. Wouldn’t be shocked if he starts. I think too much is being read into him not playing much for Creighton, who were stacked. Swope, Dotzler, Gibby, Avila, (yet to commit) big. That’s starting five I think. Hughes, Thames first off the bench. Casey first to spell the bigs
