A couple of games stand out for SLU Women's soccer this Spring. Arkansas and Oklahoma St.

Arkansas is 7th Nationally) in Top Drawer Soccer Spring Rankings. (Vandy is 5th after winning SEC Tourney Title). It's an opportunity to play a top 10 caliber team and an SEC Power.

Also, Oklahoma St. Is 18th in Top Drawer Soccer National Spring Rankings. Big 12 also presents an opportunity against one of the best teams in one of the best four leagues.

The McKendree game this past week was on ESPN+, so is today's game vs Kansas City. ESPN+, 1:30pm right after the Men's game.

I watched the 1st half of the men's UMKC game last night. Not much to see. Not a lot of possession. 1 goal on pk. Watch the rest and probably the current ladies and men's games tomorrow.

First half was pretty ugly for the Men in game one. They were much better in the 2nd half.

The ladies looked good. Freshman Hannah Larson with a goal and an assist in her 1st game. (also scored in the exhibition game) We are going to like her a lot. Imo she was the best player on the field for the Bills in her 1st game as a freshman on the preseason A10 favorite. She's dangerous 1v1 and could have easily had a couple other assists.

I have no idea how good UMKC is supposed to be

Unfortunately the SLU v Xavier game will not be an ESPN+ game. And it will not be streamed either. Neutral site game in suburban Indy. Xavier, again, is defending Big East Champs both regular season and tourney.

Another strange note to go along with this is that it's being played inside.

3-1 win for SLU Women at Arkansas is big time.

Goins and Podojil are prolific offensive players for Arkansas. Vanfossin is an elite defender. Very good team. They can light up the scoreboard. They defeated Missouri St. 7-0 on 33 shots their first game. Having to go on the road to strong Power 5 teams and get results on the road is the next step for the program to turn the corner.
