Mizzery still suffers from the everything to lose nothing to gain syndrome. After the 3 game set that ended in 2001 there were cries from every corner in the state that it should be an annual event. The media, state officials, fans. The 3 games were close as I recall but the momentum died and Mizzery killed it.

Every time MU vs SLU comes up in conversation it always devolves into “Who’s got more to lose”… who cares! It’s basketball!  Lace’m up!

That used to be the case for local recruiting. With the portal all that’s out the window. As I understand it we ask for it every season and Mizzery comes up with some lame excuse why they can’t. Crazy.

Given the renewed hype in the program does anyone think there will be a secondary market for tickets this season?  I have 5 tickets and make half the games because of kid's conflicts.  Thought about not renewing and even tried splitting or having someone taken some of my games but that hasn't materialized.

Hit us with some hints! Forgive my ignorance but I guess those games at Savvis Center wouldn't technically count as home games? I think we have 7 non-con games announced thus far with just 3 of them being home games. 6 more games to schedule, with all 6 of those needing to be home games? That can't be right...

EDIT: Sorry, Pistol, just saw your post. Forgot exhibition games are included in the home game count so a 2 game MTE on a neutral site (Kiel Auditorium) would work.

It hasn't been Savvis Center since 2008

Here is the updated list of P5 teams not yet in an MTE.  IF SLU is looking to put one together, the list is shrinking for a top level event.  Big 10 is booked.

ACC: Boston College, California*, Georgia Tech

Big 12: Cincinnati, Utah*

Big East: DePaul

SEC: Arkansas, Georgia, Missouri

Other matchups for the Pentagon.

Short article with several quotes from coaches.  It would have been great to play McNeese State, either at the Pentagon or in a OOC matchup.  It's not happening at Sioux Falls.

Known schedule so far:

Monday, November 4 vs. Santa Clara (at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, SD)
Saturday, November 16 vs. Loyola Marymount
Friday, November 22 vs. Wichita State (at the Sprint Center in Kansas City)
Saturday, November 30 vs. Wofford
Thursday, December 5 at San Francisco
Sunday, December 15 at Illinois State
Sunday, December 22 at Grand Canyon
TBA vs. Jackson State
MTE - TBD, possibly in St. Louis

As WPB said on Twitter, we need a home MTE to satisfy season ticket holder minimum dates (~18). Assuming we can get an MTE, we'd have up to 5 more regular season games to announce (8 non-conference games are known, plus 18 A10 games, so 5 more = 31). 5 more home games gets us to 17 regular season home games so we could do one exhibition. It's possible we could also see another road/neutral game and 2 exhibitions.
