Aquinas Posted December 14, 2024 Author Posted December 14, 2024 9-1 Bonnie's playing tough physical defence, up 45-38, over Providence. Dayton takes on number 8 Marquett in half an hour. Quote
Aquinas Posted December 15, 2024 Author Posted December 15, 2024 Bonnie's win down the stretch. Nice win. Quote
willie Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Dayton Marquette tied with 7 to go. I am telling you the A 10 is good Three bid league. Quote
gobillsgo Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Watching Dayton, can’t help but think Pikaar could be our Letang with a little development. Aquinas 1 Quote
slu72 Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 A10 is better than we may have thought. We are gonna need to find ourselves real soon. Quote
Aquinas Posted December 15, 2024 Author Posted December 15, 2024 Dayton wins! Great win for Dayton and the A10 picks up 2 wins over the Beast today. Quote
slu72 Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Without investigating I think the A10 has a winning record vs the Beast. Quote
HoosierPal Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Serious firepower at Dayton. Key and Bennett both with 15, Checks with 14, Santos with 12 plus 13 boards, and Smith with 11 assists to go with his 6 points. AND they won going a horrible 4-19 from the arc and 9-16 from the line. Who underestimated the Flyers prior to the season? Quote

billikenbill Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 Best we’ll do in the A10 is 9-9. We’ll lose to Grand Canyon, just hope we can find a way to nip Wofford. Quote
WUH Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 Loyola Chicago lost a neutral court game against San Francisco by 10. Loyola is 8-1 while San Francisco is 9-2 Quote
Bay Area Billiken Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 USF(CA) 76 Loyola Chicago 66 in Milwaukee. USF's NET this morning is 45, one of 4 WCC teams in the Top 50, along with Gonzaga, St. Mary's and short termer in the WCC Oregon State. Loyola is 88 in the NET. SLU opener opponent Santa Clara is 78. Dayton is the only A10 team with NET in the Top 50. Dayton's NET after beating Marquette is 23. For reference, SLU's NET is 179 Quote

I know they’ve been a bit inconsistent at times over the last few years, but Anthony Grant’s ability to replace NBA level players (Toppin and Holmes) and still maintain relevance is impressive. And it’s reflected in their scheduling. Marquette, Northwestern, NM State, and UNLV all played/will play at UD Arena, they obviously had Maui, and then they’re playing Cincinnati in Cincy off campus. You are right, this is not 1981. We have the best facilities, beautiful arena and coaches salaries that are the tops in the league by a long shot. Why we are not better is beyond me. Quote
