Oh sure haha, if Humphrey's had been open while I was at SLU, I definitely would have done post game or pre game there, but I had to be at SLU during the 5 year period it was closed

 

Edit: I'll add that it closed my sophomore year and I wasn't trying to drink underage so I never thought to go

I wasn't trying; I was succeeding. Bull Feathers, if that had stayed open, would've been closer and was more underage-friendly. It's a great place to drink before or after Sunday night mass or Ash Wednesday. 

Ya hate to see it, but ya love to see it, Dayton, the pre-season champion tradition, continues. They have played themselves out of at-large contention right now.  VCU is the only A10 team in right now.  A10's only friends are Juan Bid and Jose Cuervo.

 

SLU could put a dent in the VCU aspirations next Tuesday. That would be huge.

That was an intense game.  Too much hero ball by Council at the end.  He dominated the ball on the last 4 Bonnie possessions.  Shows how much they miss Bowen.

There goes any value from the Bonnies win for SLU. Mark Schmidt has gotten outcoached badly by Dunphy and Schertz the last two games.

That winning shot by LaSalle was not as fluky as the Grand Canyon shot against us, but it was lucky - I don't think he called it off the glass. But LaSalle played well - despite their bus breaking down on the way to Olean.

Bona not that good.  This game should be a harbinger of the season to come —— with no real dominant team, the cannibalism that has permeated the A10 in the past will return once again.  Mason hosting Umass right now.

Statistically a very even game with one exception, LaSalle 6 turnovers, Bonnies 12. 12 is actually a good number on 72 possessions but guard-heavy LaSalle took care of the rock and that was the difference.

It's still possible for Dayton, the Bonnies or VCU to go on a 10 game win streak and get back into the at-large conversation.  But the window is closing.

The A10 is eating it own again. I don’t see 2 dance bids. SEC’s gonna garner a potful followed by B10, and B12. Beast may only get 2, 3 at the most. And when you get the inevitable upset tourney winner say from the AAC or MWC. Well, the bids start disappearing as fast like drinks a your daughter’s open bar wedding.
