Aquinas Posted November 13 Posted November 13 St Joe's knocked off Villanova 83 - 76! That is a great win for the St Joe and the conference. Quote
slu72 Posted November 13 Posted November 13 And Fordham beat Seton Hall this past weekend. If the A10 gets its act together we could challenge the Beast. We really are the same basic schools. Quote

3star_recruit Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Dayton's Enoch Cheeks, a 6-3 guard who averaged 8.1 ppg and 4.7 rpg last year is playing out of mind. He's averaging 15.0 ppg and 8.3 rpg playing the same amount of minutes as last year. And he's turned into a ball hawk, racking up 3.3 steals per game. I guess the Conklin summer has expanded to Ohio. Aquinas Posted November 21 Author Posted November 21 VCU up 28 -25 at the half, over Seton Hall. ESPN2. Quote

Aquinas Posted November 22 Author Posted November 22 Late game... St Joe's up 13 in the first half over Texas Tech. The announcer said Tex Tech is favored by 10. ESPN Quote
mrjoelabs Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Here’s a question. Why are we NEVER in legit holiday tourneys anymore. All the other A10 teams are in nice locations getting a crack at power 5 teams and perhaps beating them. We never go to these tournaments anymore. And barely ever did. It’s a massive missed opportunity David King 1 Quote

Bahamas? Myrtle beach? At least Charleston? our league is going to be tough this year. Joes Dayton and Loyola are all good. And VCU is still VCU. Quote

slu72 Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Should try for the Charleston tourney. Always a top field. Better than Myrtle, which is all mids. Quote
slu72 Posted November 22 Posted November 22 As for A10 this year it maybe the best it’s been since 2013. I think it got 6 bids that year. We’re gonna have to be at full strength come January. Quote
Bay Area Billiken Posted November 22 Posted November 22 We were just in Hawaii (Big Island), and hadn't been there for about 20 years. It's still a very nice place to vacation. If SLU is playing in Hawaii next season, that will probably be in Honolulu, the big city on Oahu. Quote
HoosierPal Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Be wary of these upcoming 8 team MTE's. The P5 is already discussing tiered approaches to these tourney's where the P5 would play in a P5 bracket and the lessers in another bracket. It might not happen next season, but by 2027, don't be surprised if we are slighted by the organizers. Quote
