So only 9 shots in 19 games were inside the arc. He made four 2 point field goals for the year. One block, 3 steals for the season. Feels like a Hybrid in Schertz' system. Quote

3star_recruit Posted May 21 Posted May 21 The days of "best player available" are over. Coach Schertz wanted a backup big man, scouted the terrain and got him. Coach314 and Lord Elrond 2 Quote
ACE Posted May 21 Posted May 21 The stats are not very inspiring and there aren't a lot of highlights because he didn't play much, but after looking at this, you can see how he could fit in Schertz system. He has a nice stroke and quick release from 3. You can't really tell much else. Schertz definitely has a system and types of players who can fit. Coach is going to be in the honeymoon phase for quite a while, so there's no reason not be optimistic. One more to go. It seems like we're set with bigs now, so probably a roll of the dice with the last scholarship for another lead guard or wing. My guess would be a high school kid. Quote

How about giving it to the Walk On Patton. Hopefully we are talking about spots 11, 12 or 13 on the roster and those spots likely won't be in the rotation. Quote

I believe the rumor is that the last spot will be going to Dylan Warlick who de-committed from Wyoming last week. Not bad for one of our last roster spots to go to a 3 star HS recruit. https://247sports.com/player/dylan-warlick-46136160/ Zink and Pistol 2 Quote

The fact that SLU never partnered with Urban Chestnut has always been a head-scratcher for me. They're practically in SLU's back yard. WVBilliken Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Nice to see a team that looks to field a Power 5 sized team that appears to go two deep at every position. And when two bigs need relief, two more guys can come in of similar size, not a couple of wings trying to hold off guys 4, 5 inches taller than them. The Summer competition to be part of the rotation is going to be oh so interesting. Quote
SLUMedBilliken15 Posted May 21 Posted May 21 I am very excited for this signing. I wonder why he didn't get more minutes at UC Santa Barbara. Maybe his playing style didn't fit well there. Does anyone know if he is a decent defender? Quote

It makes less sense. We gotta change that if we can. Quote

I would assume that since we are in bed with AB (I assume they have a number of different partnership and sponsorship agreements still) that precludes us from also partnering with Urban Chestnut. billiken_roy 1 Quote

Had a D-PRPG on 0.5, for comparison, same as Stef. As for minutes, other than injury they had Yohan Traore, former 5 star who just signed with SMU. Quote
