Only 29 attempts but he shot 38% from 3.

Weird, he only took 38 shots total, and 29 were 3 point attempts.  So only 9 shots in 19 games were inside the arc.

He made four 2 point field goals for the year.

One block, 3 steals for the season.

Feels like a Hybrid in Schertz' system.

The stats are not very inspiring and there aren't a lot of highlights because he didn't play much, but after looking at this, you can see how he could fit in Schertz system. He has a nice stroke and quick release from 3. You can't really tell much else. Schertz definitely has a system and types of players who can fit. Coach is going to be in the honeymoon phase for quite a while, so there's no reason not be optimistic.

One more to go. It seems like we're set with bigs now, so probably a roll of the dice with the last scholarship for another lead guard or wing. My guess would be a high school kid.

The next step is obvious, footage of Killian Brockhoff dunking over a garbage can is needed..,

How about giving it to the Walk On Patton.  Hopefully we are talking about spots 11, 12 or 13 on the roster and those spots likely won't be in the rotation.

I believe the rumor is that the last spot will be going to Dylan Warlick who de-committed from Wyoming last week. Not bad for one of our last roster spots to go to a 3 star HS recruit.

Sounds like an NIL opportunity for Urban Chestnut.

The fact that SLU never partnered with Urban Chestnut has always been a head-scratcher for me.  They're practically in SLU's back yard.

Instead, they've partnered with SIUE: https://siuecougars.com/news/2023/11/9/general-siue-athletics-urban-chestnut-brewing-company-unveil-exciting-partnership.aspx

Nice to see a team that looks to field a Power 5 sized team that appears to go two deep at every position.  And when  two bigs need relief, two more guys can come in of similar size, not a couple of wings trying to hold off guys 4, 5 inches taller than them.  The Summer competition to be part of the rotation is going to be oh so interesting.

I am very excited for this signing. I wonder why he didn't get more minutes at UC Santa Barbara. Maybe his playing style didn't fit well there. Does anyone know if he is a decent defender?

UCBC is so far from SIUE though, relatively speaking. It makes less sense. We gotta change that if we can.

I would assume that since we are in bed with AB (I assume they have a number of different partnership and sponsorship agreements still) that precludes us from also partnering with Urban Chestnut.

What AB partnerships?

Dylan Warlick is the last scholarship player

Where's the cute little graphic?

Looking at his twitterX, I guess it's no surprise he had an offer from ISU and Schertz a while ago.

1. He was only a freshman last season for UCSB.

2. He was coming off an injury.

wasn't anything special but also not terrible for a frosh. Had a D-PRPG on 0.5, for comparison, same as Stef.

As for minutes, other than injury they had Yohan Traore, former 5 star who just signed with SMU.
