Pistol
Ford is now 5-12 against Dayton. He allowed them to score 100 at SLU on Senior Night. In college sports, when you can't beat your rival, you get fired. There is no ambiguity here. Anyone who disagrees can go away. Anyone uncomfortable with this fact (and the conversation around it) should probably take a break for the next few weeks. I'd also add that you can't have a team in the bottom 25 of defensive rankings in the country and live to coach another season. VCU is the real rival. Beat VCU.

Or one Tourney in 8 years Or not giving your lone senior a sendoff down 15 with a minute left Or causing your whole team to get covid bc you wanted to have a bday party Could go on and on of all single reasons he's should be gone. It’s just easier for them to repeat the same talking points… “27 year head coach, made the NCAA tournament, multiple 20 win seasons” and not get into specifics, which are eye opening. Mack remains my top choice for much of the reasons stated above. Will he cost a ton? Yeah, but it's not my money so what do I care? The issue isn't that Ford is getting paid $2.5M it is that he is getting paid $2.5M to produce unacceptable results. I'd also be thrilled with Schertz or McCollum. I was going to wait until my youngest kids were a bit older to purchase season tix but if one of these three is hired, I'm moving that up to the 24-25 season.
