What disturbs me the most is that an "adult" actively encourages a teenager to go against his word and break a promise.  And he and his employer are apparently proud of it.  That ain't right in my book.

Couldn't agree with this more.  In the past month and a half, he is now 220% committed to 2 different schools.  I am sorry but I think it is a great thing to teach kids at the age of 17 or 18 that if you are going to say you are 110% committed to something, you need to stick with it.  Otherwise don't commit to it.

It just makes you respect Davell Roby even more.  Even with all the things he had to deal with here, he said his dad kept telling him to "Be Loyal" and he stuck with it.

Dave Matter seems especially proud of it. From today's Post Dispatch article: "Commitment flips have been Cuonzo Martin’s specialty since he came to Missouri last year. Jackson is the seventh recruit who has picked Mizzou after being committed to play elsewhere since the spring of 2017, following Michael Porter Jr., Jontay Porter and Blake Harris (all pledged to Washington), Jeremiah Tilmon and Javon Pickett (both signed to play at Illinois) and Torrence Watson (Ohio State)."

Matter seems to be speaking about this like it is a stat and people should be proud he is leading the league in it.

if he was a journalist instead of a fan boy maybe he would do some digging into a potentially big story. Why do they get so many flips and how is he making it happen.

You are right that Matter is a fan first then a journalist when it comes to Missouri but he does work hard and provides lots of consistent info that we can only hope would happen with Stu.  The problem here is that until the kid signs a LOI there is no tampering per se.  What has been the guard rails before was that coaches just did not do it to each other but now apparently like so many things today, the desire to win causes some people to throw ethics out the window.  Money corrupts all things.  What is going to happen eventually is that other coaches will get tired of this junk and they will find a way to get even.  Martin will do something wrong and someone will turn him in - after all lots of coaches fudge on the small stuff and people just look away usually but they won't in Martin's case.  The other thing that will happen is he will pull this with IL and their current coach and SLU at some point and then the news media will have a reason to start digging - now when he takes someone from OSU or MN they do not have a dog in the fight.  The Tilmon and Pickett situation happened with the new IL coach not the ones those kids signed with so Martin is getting a bit of a pass for now.

Don't think this has been posted anywhere but looks like SLU has offered 2019 (Rivals) 3 star center Jason Jitoboh (or 4 stars depending on the rating service I guess).

-player looks huge, I want him simply so we can have another JJ on the team

He is indeed huge. He was previously down to Illinois, Tennessee, Florida, and Louisville but opened his recruitment back up this month. In addition to those four, SLU, Georgia, Wake Forest, and UCF began or restarted their recruitment of him.

Jason Jitoboh - C, 6-11, 270 - Abuja, Nigeria (Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, TN) - Twitter: @JasonJitoboh

Offers: SLU, Louisville, Wake Forest, Illinois, Florida, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, South Florida.

Interest: Xavier, Clemson, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Georgia, Central Florida.

Latest News: Jitoboh received an offer from SLU. (10/26/18)

Scouting Report: Jitoboh is a massive, imposing center who can score and protect the rim. He has great hands and good touch around the basket. He's an excellent shot blocker. He has a huge frame and moves really well for his size. He plays for a loaded Hamilton Heights team, stocked with future D-I players. He did not play AAU ball this summer as he recovered from a broken foot. Rankings: Prep Hoops: 259, 247sports: 219, 247sports Composite: 237.

Actually farmers have more severe hand injuries, because of the equipment they use, than most other occupations. Combines are dangerous, particularly when they get stuck and have to be be cleared, lots of severe hand injuries are caused this way.

No. Massage therapists have the most hand injuries as they are using their fingers, palms, and wrists to apply pressure to different area's of a persons body. The uneven action and the fact that a good one can do up to 8 massages a day make them particularly vulnerable to hand injuries
