  1. CG has big problems and hurt the team and I know an incident and I have never mentioned it on this site so I say so what about what you know about a 19 year old who you don’t even know personally. Where is your empathy pal he is 19 years old and has a tough life. Calling a 19 year old trash is so over the top. Do you even have a clue that you are officially the CG of the board. Once you decide to quit this board the feeling like with CG with the team will be mutual with the posters. CG still has a chance in life and I am cheerleading him all the way to a prosperous life. I am glad CG is off the team for the team but I do not hate him I pray for him.

  2. I guess it’s safe to say College of Pharmcy is off of Gordon’s short list of future destinations.

  3. C’mon man take your hyperbole somewhere else. There’s one person on this board “attacking” him and even then I wouldn’t use the term attacking. There are people here who understand that, consistent with SLU’s mission as men and women for others, everyone deserves a chance to change and grow. However when a person wastes that opportunity I think it’s appropriate for those who supported them to feel let down and unfortunately that can manifest itself into what you described as attacking.

  4. It isn’t a good look for the program for people to bash a hometown kid on the way out. Any kid really, but especially a hometown kid. It just makes you look bitter even if what you are saying is true.

  5. I agree. There's definitely more to the story. But taking what we do know I just find it funny how some of the same people that defended and wanted to sweep Gordon's past transgressions under a rug are now attacking him now that he isn't dribbling a ball for the program anymore. Ford knew what he was getting into and went to great lengths to make sure Gordon suited up for the Billikens. It didn't work. Gordon isn't the only "bad guy" in this situation.

  6. I'm sure Gordon's tweets are directed toward some fans on here, but also at Ben Fred's less than complimentary article. Especially, when Ben F writes the two local D1 P5s might not be interested in pursuing him. If he wants to end speculation about why he wanted out of SLU, he should give specific reasons instead of vague statements like I did it for family reasons and how transferring improves his life. Most kids leave because they aren't getting minutes, see M Lewis, they get homesick, they dislike the coach, etc. So far we've seen no reason for his leaving that makes sense to us. And when he says he was respectful and a team player then why leave after 13 games? Furthermore, he was all in on SLU because he loved StLouis and wanted to win for the city. I don't see where he wasn't embraced or under appreciated for that attitude. In fact, just the opposite was the case. So, if he feels he's being trashed, the way to stop the negative vibes is to come clean with the fans and the press by giving specific reasons for his surprise exit.

  7. You’re calling a human being who’s been through the kind of things most of us will only see on The Wire, trash. And doing it anonymously hiding behind a username on an internet message board like a little b!tch. Please leave this board, leave now.

  8. Yuri is an old school point guard. He's probably looking at ways he can contribute when he gets here next year. P.S. There isn't any message board outside of the P5 that is this enthusiastic about recruits. Billikens.com is truly special place.

  9. Do we use that light anymore? I notice its not blinking the morning after a victory... Can I be responsible for lighting this baby up if that person has since quit? Willing to do this for free. Let me know AD

  10. Nothing else to do? it was a 60 degree day in January. Soak up that sun and store it away for the winter. It’s also Saturday so there is always beer to be drank. all kidding aside thanks for the investigative work that’s kind of interesting.

  11. For Billikens fans, yes. That is too much to ask. Season altering situations and controversies are to be expected. Otherwise it would be too easy being a Billiken fan.

  13. I have no idea of what Gordon was like on the practice floor but to my eye he was a good teammate during games.

  14. I don't have any direct sources but word 'round the campfire is that those 2 got into a scrap and Gordon destroyed the locker room. I'm sure someone on here can shed more light.

  15. Have a hunch Isabell and the other guys will go off tomorrow. You have to believe that there were a lot of bad locker room vibes that were hampering the team chemistry. Hopefully this is the correction we’ve been waiting for. The team played some of the most disciplined basketball we’ve seen all season in the last game, a game in which Gordon had limited minutes and Hankton was seeing the floor a lot.

  19. My thoughts on this: 1) Fans of college basketball team ALWAYS try to bash the players that transfer from their program. Gordon isn’t special in any way in this regard 2) We don’t truly know what happened. It might look like one thing but it might not be 3) Let’s just wish him good luck and crush the A10 without him

  21. I liked TFords support for CG, plus saying, “I’ve got transfers in my locker room” Time to move on. But man, it’s hard losing so many guards last year and bigs this year.

  22. My gut tells me CG's team vibe has been throwing Goodwin off his game. He's gonna come back with a vengeance shortly. I can't wait.

  24. I know that Gordon was a big recruit and that he had a lot of upside but all this gnashing of teeth is a bit over the top. Long term I agree had he said and developed we would be better for it but at least up to now his quality of play has not been such that our season is over. He started the season starting but lately he was coming off the bench which tells how he was trending. His 8 ppg is not so great that it can not be replaced from the bench. I know he had a lot of blocks for a freshman and that will be somewhat missed but it is not such a major loss that it will sink the season. I don't remember his rebounding average for the year but I don't remember it being that eye popping. This kid decides to leave - his choice - and now Ford is a loser and May has to go immediately, and the BoT are bumbling idiots. Some perspective please.

  25. The ignore function works very well now. I never seee any of his posts or qouted posts. The problem is that visitors to the sight have to read his post and that is why he should go. JMHO

  26. If you haven’t already, please consider donating to Steve and the site so that you can react to each of Gloryday’s posts. Best money I’ve spent in a while. There’s no excuse for the name calling that he’s been engaged in. Completely inappropriate. It’s one thing to criticize/question a decision, and another to repeatedly attack someone’s character.

  27. I agree. TFord will rally the team, and I think we will see it this Sunday. Everybody will be motivated up their game. Foreman is the guy that needs to step up the most, and I am confident that he will.

  29. Funny how it takes 24 hours and everyone else says the same sh** i do and Ben Fred copies it with slightly better words. Everyone on this board who switched ships overnight after attacking me can get a life

  30. So much salt flowing through the posters here. CG is not a good guy. Watch us put up a record performance without him

  31. Everything I said was echoed in Ben Fred’s piece. You are all so far removed from the program. I still have my connections in athletics and I kept most of the stuff he did on the down low all season. The kid is trash and the main reason we had chemistry issues. 05 thinks all season it was Isabell and Goodwin but it was the team vs Gordon. If you’re wondering why we had passing problems in the paint to him that’s why. If you wanna count how many MAJOR problems he had look at all the times he randomly didn’t start and multiply it by about 3.
