With the ruling that JUCO years appear to no longer count towards eligibility consideration, Sincere Parker could get another year or two to play. Wild times...

May be mistaken but believe that ruling applies just to the individual football player’s injunction at this point. It will likely, however, open the floodgates in all sports, particularly big time basketball, due to legal precedent…and give JUCO ball a much higher profile as a gold mine to develop and recruit players.

According to Timmermann, John Klein signs with the Charleston Battery.   Very popular USL club that’s been around for quite a while.

I thought he would wind up in the USL. If he does well there, he can make it back to the MLS.

I watched a little of the Kent State this week.  Cian Medley is playing very well.   He is starting and got his first double-double Tuesday night.   Looks like Sincere Parker is also doing well at McNeese.   They are undefeated in conference and rolling.   Normally I am pretty ambivalent about transfers out but I can't blame them for fleeing last year's crime scene.

I completely forgot about Cian.  I liked his demeanor.  Very positive!

Agree...Parker and Medley are both excellent free throw shooters, great for closing minutes. Nice that they are on better teams now vs. last year.

Agree with you, but with all of our injuries, Sincere could have been a serious contributor at SLU this year.

Possibly a real difference maker. He was a scoring machine.

In almost exactly the same minutes as last season (20 mpg), Parker's ppg is down from 15.9 to 12.9 and his 3% is down from 42% to an ugly 29%. His ft% is identical to last season, a very strong 81%

Medley is getting a few more mpg than last season and his production is up a little, nice assist numbers, very ugly 3%. With his quickness, he should potential last year to be a plus defender.

I guess it didn't embed the tweet, but Goodwin got promoted to a 2 way deal for the Lakers! Great news!

Great news.  With the addition of Luka, the Lakers need a guard who plays defense!  Certainly an opportunity for Mr. Goodwin.

They waived Traore to fit him into the roster.

Stu posted an article on Goodwin joining the Lakers.  If you subscribe, don't miss it.  If you don't subscribe, your loss.  Stu stated the Lakers are looking at Goodwin largely for his on-ball defense.  In the G League, he averaged 14.6 pg, 5.9 rpg and 3.3 apg.  He hit 30% from the 3.

The Lakers can have Goodwin on the Active Game Day Roster for all remaining games.  The limit for a 2 way player is 50 and they 33 left.  He is reportedly on the books for $212,000 for the rest of the season.

This isn't true.  If a player is signed to  2 way contract after the season starts his eligibility is pro rated based on the games left in the season.  The formula used to determine this is divide the remaining games left when the player is signed by the total games in the season and multiply that by 50.  Round to the nearest number.  After today's game Goodwin is only eligible to play in 19 of the remaining Lakers games.
