HoosierPal Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 @JonRothstein NEWS: Florida Atlantic will face St. Bonaventure on December 16th as part of a doubleheader at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, according to multiple sources. UMass-West Virginia is the other game of the doubleheader. Quote
Compton Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 Potential twofer preview game tonight with College of Charleston taking on Duquesne at the Veterans Classic in Annapolis on CBSSN. Quote
HoosierPal Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Tear up your A10 preseason rankings. Davidson upsets Big 10 power Maryland. Yes, you could confuse Davidson for the Hickory Huskers, but they get the W. They have a nice F in Durkin. This could be the marque league win for the year. Maryland has been picked as high as 4th in the Big 10. Quote
Taj79 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Dayton loses to Northwestern in Chicago. Over on A10 Talk, they have an article that lists the Top 50 games in the A10 this year: Top 50 Most Important A10 MBB Non-Conference Games 2023 | A10 Talk Davidson against Maryland was #3 on that list; Dayton at Northwestern was #9. Duquesne vs. Charleston was #31. Our games include Drake (#22); NC State (#27) and Utah State (#44). #1 game is Mason at Tennessee followed by La Salle at Duke. Quote
basebill123 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Couple positive notes. A10 has won or pushed 9 of last 10 against the spread(Loyola/Fau exception) Monmouth upset West Virginia making Masons win a bit better. Quote
Old guy Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Let's hope we remain aggressive throughout the whole game this time, and not pull the same strategy of going unaggressive in the last few minutes of the game (the Ford playing pattern). Let's go up and continue going up for the whole game and beat the spread, this time. Go Bills Quote

slu72 Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Watching Davidson tear Clemson a new one. Typical Davidson team. Well coached. I guess Dad is at practice a lot. FT forward Durkin looks very good. Davidson players don’t stand around they move around a lot and make good passes. Up 25-5. Quote
billikenbill Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Clemson comes back to knock off the Cats, 68-65. Quote

3star_recruit Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Davidson already knocked off Maryland. I was wondering where their program was headed after last year's .500 season. Their defense has definitely improved. Quote
billikenbill Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Loy-Chi falls at home to Illinois-Chicago, 72-67, GW gets a home win over Hofstra, 71-60, and don’t sleep on the Iron Five of LaSalle as they move to 3-0 with a 69-57 take down of Bucknell at the Gola. Quote
Pistol Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 We should know a lot more about these 4 A10 teams after some solid matchups tonight: Richmond at Boston College (Richmond has scored 90+ in both wins so far) Duquesne vs. Princeton (Duquesne won decisively over Charleston and Stony Brook after squeaking by Cleveland State) VCU vs. Radford (VCU lost to McNeese at home and struggled vs. Samford) George Mason vs. Cornell (GMU has allowed 53 PPG in two wins) Compton 1 Quote

That will help give some sense of where GMU is in the pecking order. Pistol 1 Quote

Richmond's scoring outburst in the first two games might not be sustainable against better opponents. Mason's defense wasn't nearly as good against a disciplined Ivy League team but they still pulled out the win and don't appear to be any worse than they were under English. Duquesne may have been a little overhyped. VCU might be settling down after a shaky start. That's my best crack at it, anyway. BrettJollyComedyHour 1 Quote
