A10 around the league

Geedubya and Richmond going to OT in Foggy Bottom.  Bishop carried Geedubya down the stretch to tie it with a 3 and an and-1.

Looks like Fordham takes down Umass and Mason gets bombed at Duquesne.

If Dayton wins, and Fordham wins, SLU is on the outside looking in at the double bye.  With a road game at VCU, another Dayton game, and seemingly every road game in the A10 being tough this year.  This next game is crucial in avoiding a potentially bad situation.

if my math is correct a dayton win and fordham win still leaves billikens in 4th place tied for second on the loss side

9-3 VCU, a Dayton win moves them to 9-4, Bills loss= 8-4, a Fordham win puts them at 8-4 with the head-to-head win over SLU. Tie breakers are coming into play.  Even if VCU loses they have head to head over SLU. The unbalanced schedule likely favors Fordham. The 5-7 spots are a little too close in this years version of the A10.

Crazy finish at Duquesne... Bonnies down 3 , 2.2 seconds to go , shooting 2 free throws, made first, missed 2nd,loose ball Bonnies got it, passed cross the lane, hits what looked like tying basket, after review, shot was too late.  Duquesne hangs on

Fordham knocks off Davidson 73-71!! 20 wins for the Rams!! First 20 win season since '91 and snaps a 12-game losing streak to Davidson. Quisenberry with 21 and Moore with 20. The A-10 has no answer for Khalid Moore.

Urgo might not agree.

Good point. Trying to jerk 05's chain with that comment given how much he enjoys Dambrot's coaching.

Right now Lange would get votes too, but Urgo and Damnrot are 1 & 2, for now.
1/3 of the season yet to be played. Lot can happen. Even Ford could get back into……nah.

We look more like we’re heading to the PIG.

Interesting.  I don't recall if he transferred for Archie or for Cox.  Upon further review, Miller was named coach on March 18 and Freeman transferred on April 15 so he went north for Archie (I guess).  He did not start against Maso  this past weekend and expressed his displeasure on a since-deleted Twitter post.  He is expected to enter the transfer portal after finishing his semester at Rhode Island.

As noted in the pregame review, his strength appeared to be driving, driving, and driving some more.  He was Rhodey's second leading scorer.  Archie appears to be in a house-cleaning mode right now.  Should move the starting PG position to either Jalen Carry or Sebastien Thomas.

A10 this week:

Loyola is at Umass (-3.5) tomorrow.  PIG seedings at stake.

On Wednesday, VCU is at Rhode Island; the Bonnies are at Fordham; the Joeys go to Duquesne; Richmond is at La Salle; Mason is at Geedubya, and we host Davidson.  The biggest interest is likely the Bonnies at Fordham.  The Rams are 15 and 2 at Rose Hill while the Bonnies are 2 and 8 on the road.

Loyola then host Dayton on Thursday.
