Not an apologist, but I view this as golf.  The round ain’t over, in all honesty we do not know the details.  If the appeals process plays out and remedies the wrong done by Weathers, then what Pestello did wrong was letting it drag out too long. Having the outside investigation was a sound move, but the process that was in place with a single hearing officer was flawed.

If Pestello directs a more benevolent decision, that does indeed provide fairness to all.  He can come out of this looking like a champion for both men and women. As well as avoiding many lawsuits, though perhaps not all.  Women have sons too, they will look kindly on a result that helps correct a wrong but does not harm a students future. He can survive this, he has to decide wisely. In essence he has to chip in from the fairway....

The occupy St. Louis event that he was handed in his first months is over get over it.

It' too late to provide fairness to all.  If they reinstated them today it wouldn' be fair

-I would love for our esteemed host, SignGuy, to apply to go through T9 training just to see if they would accept him given the sandbox here that he allows us to access and his overall interest in Billiken athletics, especially the basketball program----I completely understand this is probably not something he should do, but the reaction of that office to such an inquiry might confirm some widely held opinions

I don't know what the outcome will be and when this will be over, but I have heard that this situation has acute visibility at the highest levels and there is pressure to achieve a fair result for all involved, not just the accuser. If Goodwin is run off from this, I wouldn't be surprised if Fred's house of cards takes a tumble.

I think Fred will lose his job no matter which way this turns out. He will lose it faster if the appeal comes out in the players favor. The facts don't matter. The SJWs will be so outraged they will demand his head on a platter and likely get it. If it goes against the players he will lose it a couple of years down the road when the facts come out in the civil suit and SLU gets hammered with multiple big money judgments. I think he would prefer the latter. I think he aligns with the SJWs.

Stormy Weathers is flat out a socialist. Socialists don't give a hoot about justice. They punish those who don't buy into their ideology completely. Socialists are famous for imprisoning political dissidents and protesters. Weathers is  famous for imposing harsh punishments on males regardless of whether or not the facts support the degree of severity. Sit 2 is not her first rodeo. She's pulled this crap before. She has no compassion for these young men. Not an ounce of forgiveness in her soul. Zero empathy. It's cut and dried with her.  Male and female have consensual sex. Female regrets it the morning after. Male is guilty because the female suffers remorse. Suffer being the key word here. Males have  the power, always have had it, and Stormy's not going to take it any more. What's just or fair doesn't matter to her. It's time to get out the guillotine and lop off his you know what. Put a crimp in his future plans. Put an asterisk next to his name. Make his road a difficult one. After all, this is what men have been doing to women all these many years. Stormy sits back, smiles, and says, "I guess I showed those SOB's whose in charge now!"

None of the hosts on 101.1 seem to even care that the station is SLU's station.  The only one who even mentions anything is Randy K and that is because his show gets shortened at times.  I have never been able to understand this lack of honking for SLU by the station.

Randy does have season tickets to Billiken basketball and attends almost every game.  I do wish him and his team would promote SLU more, especially because 101.1 does broadcast SLU games.

I would say at this point, the longer the appeal process drags on, the better.

Wish it could have been that way on the first go-around.

**blue font ** Chess uses 4 more pieces per player than checkers, so he is clearly saying that we should have the 4 players in our team.

I think he favors Chess Records. Checkers hamburgers won't get in the way of his recording gig for Chess.

WTF don't these kids ever actually convey info with their Tweets

Every game JG has played since punishment announced has been a reprieve of sorts. If we can squeeze out 37 more days (29 for regular season) we make it through season. That is way better than had it been enacted in timely matter. The goofy and inept attributes of school helping us out in this respect.

I could see a scenario where they settle on a 1 semester suspension for Goodwin. If that's the case I hope they hand it down now and we have him for all of next season

Before the announcement I would of agreed but I think that's way too optimistic. Still too unlikely but finishes season and has to sit out first semester next year. Returns as second semester sophomore after OOC games. Most plausible imo is suspended all of next season and whatever is left of this season if rendered pre 3/11. I was shocked with severity of the verdict and still am expecting no JG anytime after this season. :(

Hopefully the Society of Jesus Rapid Response Team for Failed Leadership is still in DuBourg Hall attempting to bring some sanity to the organization; clearly Fred P is out of his league.

The only reason these biases in SLU's Title IX program came to the public's attention is because SLU basketball players were victimized by it.  I am really concerned about the many regular male students at SLU who probably never received an impartial Title IX investigation in the past.  We should be thankful that the public has been made aware of SLU's negligence in this matter, so that proper changes can be made.  OR, Pestello will show weakness and do nothing hoping that people will forget.
