Got it, just curious. I figured you wanted to retain Ford and May given how annoyed you seem at the "Fire Ford" posts. I feel like given how much of a disaster the season has been, an avalanche of that is going to be happening everywhere SLU fans are talking. I don't even know what "hire Heeke" is in reference to, but you say it in every post now so it seems like you're doing the exact thing you're upset about. When all else fails, the Ignore function works really well.

Actually the upper seats are more full than most other games this year. Lots of freebies and little kids today. So May will at least be able to point to nachos sales as a win.

Yep. Hope the fielding gets cleaned up everywhere… the biggest opportunity the team has IMHO… aside from the facilities they have to deal with. A ton of returners that: -Led the A10 in hits -#2 in ERA -But #8 in Fielding %. Nauseating to watch mis-spent funds continue to flow into the embarrassing basketball program. Iowa, Kansas State and ‘Northeastern’ all are preseason Top 25 on D1 Baseball, and none should have a better baseball program than SLU… one of the best baseball cities in the US. Hendrickson can’t get help to install lights that have already been donated… well known on the team that he and May don’t exchange Christmas cards.

This isn't football. All you need is 2 players to totally overhaul a basketball defense. You put a strong post defender and an experienced ball hawk at point guard on this team and most of our defensive problems go away. The issue is why wasn't this done in the offseason? You don't need a ton of NIL money to get those players. You need a ton of NIL money to get extra-talented players to cover up the coach's lack of an offensive and defensive philosophy. The player Travis Ford was a basketball thinker on the court. Why does the coach Travis Ford construct a roster that he has to do all the thinking for?

Frank is a huge Pitino fanboy and was in love with his Kentucky teams. Ford was a part of those teams, so naturally he’s a great coach is his mind. And don’t underestimate the influence of having access to a program either. There’s always the chance you get a Majerus type coach that gives 2 sh*ts about local media and removes that access. NIL isn’t the reason this team sucks. It’s the roster constructed by the head coach and lack of any coherent system in place offensively or defensively. But, in Frank’s mind Travis needs NIL to get the next Mashburn and all will be well.

Fordham is a legitimate threat to beat us on our home court

Dang it play Stef van Conklin as much as possible, same with the Serb Sniper. Jimer's 35 minutes a game are repeatedly going to waste anyway, plenty of minutes to go around.
