i am twitter illiterate, i suppose i need to be educated on such things

It's easier to rattle off tweets at high frequency than it is to post on the board, but you're missing out on a great tool for information from the likes of SLU affiliates and media members like Chapley and Stu. I suggest checking it out.

I remember Carter saying (Pre-Nesbitt) that he thought Gibby was the most NBA-caliber player on the roster...hoping he proves that this year.

Carter also said that no A10 player had a chance to get drafted, when everyone who followed the draft knew that Bones Hyland was a lock to be drafted (ended up going first round).

I am a fan of Carter and the work he does, but I wouldn’t put much stock in his evaluation of players.

While you're at it - if you haven't already - click the follow button here to follow all of the accounts that the moderators use to fill the home page. The more people you follow the more you'll enjoy the experience.

Carter has demonstrated over and over again that he has no concept of the game of basketball. Like at all. He relies on buzz words and ridiculous generalities off obvious observations; tries to use snark and act like he's all-knowing, when in fact, he needs an editor in the worst possible way. That 'manifesto' was straight up word vomit. Zero voice and zero awareness. Cringe city.

Sounds like this guy is volunteering to provide in-depth Billiken coverage with spot on basketball analysis for little to no pay while also either never making an editorial mistakes or paying for his own editor.  Good luck with that, dude.

Carter is far from perfect, but at least he's out there providing Billiken content that's really pretty decent all things considered.  That's a far cry from what we've had in the past with little / no content at all.

Read the room, guy. Justifiable criticism is one thing but you done crossed a wide line and that's not going to be warmly welcomed here.

From the Athletic Top 20 wings in the country

13. Javonte Perkins, Saint Louis

Billikens coach Travis Ford certainly believes his guy belongs on this list, telling The Athletic that Perkins is “one of the elite scorers in all of college basketball” and arguably “the best mid-range shooter in America.” Perkins is a three-level bucket getter who goes right and left with equal aplomb and finishes through contact. Among Atlantic 10 players with at least 24 percent usage last season, Perkins had the highest offensive rating. As a sophomore, he was the nation’s third-leading scorer in junior college. As a junior, he averaged 15 points off the bench at Saint Louis to win A-10 Sixth Man of the Year. Last season, he averaged 17.1 points, 3.9 boards, 1.8 assists and shot 38 percent from 3 to earn all-conference honors. Synergy Sports has Perkins among the top 10 percent nationally in its “possessions plus assists” offensive efficiency rating. He’s an average to slightly above-average defender, which is more than enough with the way he produces on the other end.
