Pistol
Good Lord. The hits just keep on coming with Crews. You have the all-time leading scorer in Big 10 history in Cheaney, and a seemingly hard working young coach in Bronson, but you put Jim Platt in charge of recruiting?? Yeah, Platt is the top dog on the recruiting trail. That explains our level of talent right now. Platt is a buffoon. As for the other assistants, I honestly don't care. It's whatever the new HC can do best with. Crews and Platt must go, period. If the others can make it work and bridge some gaps for a new staff fine. But really, what are we holding on to? It's not like there are any remnants of what we had going for a few seasons. And we're not leading the pack for any of the local/regional studs, from what I can tell. Cleaning house and getting some new, serious coaches in front of these recruits might be the way to go.

johnbj14
Some video. Unfortunately it is just mix tapes and not more game film stuff. Observations are that he is obviously a more undersized guard, appears to be quick, and strong for his size.

JMM28
https://twitter.com/coreyevans_10/status/705119838713282562 Crews thought he was scheduling Goodwin, but got confused and scheduled this guy. Luckily it wasn't during a dead period. But don't worry I'm sure recruiting wiz Jim Platt will take him to the nickelodeon to see the latest talkie, then maybe they'll stop by Ben Franklin and get some penny candy. johnbj14
Also, SLU offered the aforementioned Godwin Boahen on March 1st, per his coach.
Pistol
Offers Godwin Boahen: PG, 5-11, 175, Toronto, ON (Hill Academy) – Offers: SLU, Toledo, Iona, Albany, Niagara, Eastern Kentucky. Interest: Louisville, Bradley, UIC, Grand Canyon. Latest News: SLU is Boahen’s most recent offer. He played at St. Louis Christian Academy last season before returning to Hill Academy in his native Toronto this season. Scouting Report: Boahen is a sturdy lead guard who attacks the lane and finishes in contact despite his size. He has good court vision and gets his teammates involved. He’s a steady shooter from the perimeter and FT line. He’s also an outstanding student. Lorenzo Edwards: PF, 6-7, 210, Lake Forest, IL (Lake Forest) – Offers: SLU, St. Joe’s, Duquesne, Loyola-Chicago, Furman, Tennessee State. Interest: Georgetown, Cal, Boston College, Valpo, Boise State, Buffalo, UC-Davis. Latest News: Suddenly the whole A10 is after Edwards, with Duquesne offering in February and St. Joe’s in March. Lake Forest’s season ended on a buzzer beater against Deerfield in the regional finals. He averaged 19 and 11 for the season. Scouting Report: Edwards is the son of 11-year NBA veteran and former DePaul star Kevin Edwards. He has a wide frame and long arms, and had microfracture knee surgery last spring. His coaches said he’s improved dramatically in the past year. His dad is on the staff at DePaul but they agreed it wouldn’t be a good fit. He plays alongside 3-star Dartmouth recruit Evan Boudreaux, forming one of the Chicago area’s most imposing frontcourts. Aleem Ford: SF, 6-7, 195, Lawrenceville, GA (IMG Academy, FL) – Offers: SLU, Richmond, Rutgers, Marist, American. Interest: Seton Hall, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Northeastern, Wofford, Hofstra, Georgia Southern, Texas State, USC Upstate. Latest News: In addition to SLU, Ford has been hearing from Richmond, Hofstra, Georgia Southern, Texas State, and Georgia lately. He plans to wait until after the season before making a decision. He mentioned Richmond and Rutgers as schools he wants to visit at the end of the season. Scouting Report: Ford was a D-II recruit but felt like he lacked exposure in HS, so he took a post-grad year at IMG Academy in Florida. He runs the floor well and has a quality outside jumper, but is frequently used to take advantage of bigger, slower power forwards. He’s an active rebounder and is thin but adding muscle to his frame. Twitter: @A_Ford5 Nick Robinson: SF, 6-6, 185, Chicago, IL (Kenwood Academy) – Offers: SLU, St. Joe’s, DePaul, Valpo, Indiana State, Bradley, UIC, UMKC. Interest: None. Latest News: Robinson helped Kenwood to a regional title, with 15 points and 8 assists over Oak Park-River Forest. Robinson had committed to Indiana State in the fall, but reopened his recruitment during the season. St. Joe’s has been out to see him several times lately. Scouting Report: Robinson is lean but strong, and a very active player at both ends. On any given night, he could lead a very deep, talented Kenwood in any statistical category. He can score from all over the floor and could fit in any number of roles and systems in college. Twitter: @nrobinson_5 Interest Kostas Antetokounmpo: SF, 6-11, 195, Milwaukee, WI (Dominican) – Offers: Iowa State, Memphis. Interest: SLU, Marquette, Xavier, St. John’s, Arizona State, Florida, Georgia, Marquette, Kansas, Florida State, Maryland, Minnesota, Texas, Wake Forest. Latest News: Antetokounmpo expects St. John’s and Florida to offer soon. He’s got great relationships with Iowa State and St. John’s. Scouting Report: Every coach in the nation should be keeping an eye on the younger brother of the Greek Freak. He’s grown to 6-11 and looks an awful lot like his older brother, with his albatross arms. He’s raw but the upside is virtually unlimited. Twitter: @alexadetokoubo Jamal Burton: SG, 6-3, 175, Chicago, IL (Morgan Park) – Offers: Lewis. Interest: SLU, Loyola-Chicago, SIUE. Latest News: Burton is a late bloomer who is starting to turn heads. SIUE just entered the mix after SLU and Loyola showed early interest. Scouting Report: Burton is a tough, gritty, defensive-minded player who gets called a “glue guy” in every report. He’s an elite athlete who uses his speed and leaping ability to make big plays. Twitter: @JamalB_4 Ben Coupet, Jr.: SF, 6-6, 190, Chicago, IL (Simeon) – Offers: DePaul, East Carolina, Bradley. Interest: SLU, Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, UCLA. Latest News: East Carolina is Coupet’s latest offer; a lot of schools are keeping an eye on him, but it’s hard to say who else is leading right now. Scouting Report: Coupet was a highly-touted freshman who showed off high-level athleticism at an early age but has struggled with consistency since. Coupet is said to have reached 6-9 over the summer; his father is a 7-footer. Twitter: @BenC_1 Skyler Nash: SG, 6-5, 205, Chicago, IL (Riverside Brookfield) - Offers: Kansas State. Interest: SLU, Wisconsin, DePaul, Marquette, Purdue, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio State, Indiana, Iowa State, West Virginia, Santa Clara, Yale. Latest News: Nash is hearing primarily from Purdue, Wisconsin, and Santa Clara right now. His offer from K-State is thought to be stale. Nash had a cancerous tumor removed in May. He is in remission and has had an outstanding senior year. Scouting Report: Nash is a strong, physical wing who finishes strong in traffic and rebounds well. He has a really nice jumper when he squares up. He can guard three positions. He’s a high-energy player who could make an instant impact somewhere. Pistol
Apologies for any font/formatting issues. I can never get it to copy over here cleanly. Anyway, a few notes: -Robinson plays with Zion Morgan, who was a SLU target that committed to Valpo, and Manny Patterson, a 2017 watch list kid for SLU. -Nash is a friend of Miles Reynolds, so I'm not sure if that association is now a negative in terms to his view of SLU. Nash said before the season that he may take a prep year, but his senior year has gone so well, he might still be a 2016 player. -Coupet remains kind of a mystery. He was supposed to be a high-major recruit but lost all that heat for some reason, and there's very little information available as it relates to his recruitment (and his games, for that matter; he must've pissed someone off). -Burton really drew some attention in early January but not a lot of new heat since then. -SLU appears to be out of the mix on the Greek Freak v2.0. I still can't believe that schools have been so slow to offer him on pedigree (and the upside that comes with it) alone. -Boahen is also said to have some Ivy League interest, but I couldn't confirm which schools, if any. He's a big-time student. -Edwards' season just ended, so his recruiting may heat up now. Main point: SLU needs to move on the coaching front sooner than later in order to be able to accomplish anything else in the 2016 class. The signing period opens on April 13 and closes on May 18. Agreed. I put bronson and cheaney in because everyone should get heat for this disaster, and those two are on the payroll of this debacle. Crews and Platt are the nightmare team. Those two should never be coaching anywhere again. We have seen enough.
BigMouthBilliken
It would be a miracle if SLU even ended up in Tatum's Top 5. I hope someone can come back here in 3 years to throw this post in my face, but I just don't see it happening. We were in his top 2!
