Next season will essentially be bench player tryouts for the 2017-2018 season.

Ford is slowly rehabbing and cleaning up the ungodly mess that Crews left this program in, and he's also remodeling it in a very big way. The 2017 recruiting class could be "YUUGE" due to the fact that those recruits might certainly be more persuaded to play here with an entirely new core of players for the 2017-2018 season. God I hope Ford can get the Fetz rocking with this new brand of basketball. We might see more dunks in one season then we have seen in the 8 years of Chaifetz Arena's entire existence.

I heard the people who own the property are apparently trying to sell it for a ridciulous price and so no one is stepping forward at the moment. Would be interesting to know if the value will continue to climb since all of that land south of campus will be undergoing big renovations in the next few years

Needs some major renovations but no reason to demolish it, especially when the number of on campus residents will be significantly increasing in the next couple of years.

The best part about these transfers is that it establishes a good core of older players that recruits from the class of 2017 will be able to play with straight from the get go (Goodwin will definitely be more interested...) Ford absolutely knows what he's doing in rebuilding this roster, and so far it looks like he's hit several home runs. We will need to see how these guys ultimately look as a team on the court, but in the A10 conference, it's hard to think these players won't be able to dominate lesser opponents.

So what you're saying is, we're finally going to see guys that can dunk? How many dunks have been made in the Fetz the past 8 years? Less than 50?

It's a process. Ford will bring in the high level recruits in the 2017 class, but seeing him get just one 2016 recruit is fantastic considering that none of us thought he could do it that quickly.

I'm pretty sure every coach of a significant program will have to somehow ensure that players are not overly focused on the program's message board... Nothing new for Travis I'm sure

The most comical part of the Crews era was his "coach of the year" award. Using Majerus' players and system to get a huge contract, then running an entire basketball program straight into the ground.Also, if Ford manages to land some of these elite recruits, I don't see how we won't be competing with VCU for the top spot in the A10 every year. It feels so good to finally have hope again for this program.
