  1. You’re almost there. Just replace your irritation with having to continue wearing a mask despite having done the right thing and switch it to the vaccine or negative test requirement, which would make the decision much easier for parents or seniors. I’d much rather they have a vaccine mandate over the mask mandate. It comes down to placing the “freedoms” of those who choose not to get vaccinated for often ridiculous reasons above the health and safety of those who have responsibly chosen to do so, but have to remain vigilant because they’re seniors, have health concerns, or are ineligible for the vaccine. These types of policies put the needs/wants of the irresponsible over those that have less choice in the matter and it’s not right. As you said, “let them bear the brunt.”

  2. Anybody in the St. Louis will want to check out Vashon this tear. They have 4 juniors (2023) who I believe have a chance or will be Division 1 players. 6'6 Kennard Davis, 6'7 Jordan Logan, 6'5 Cam Stovall, 6'4 Jayden Nicholson. Logan is somewhat of an unknown but will breakout in his first year of varsity basketball. He's a great rebounder, expanding skillset as a 4 man, and has good athletic traits. Younger brother of Davion Bradford.

  3. Take the top down on the Miata and get Leon to snap the pic of you inside wearing the Homefield gear! I'll say that the softness of the fabric is such a welcome change if you have sensitive nipples.

  4. Dude you are splitting hairs here. Forgive me if I fail to see the difference between "I don't care if other people's kids get COVID" and "I don't believe I have any duty as a human being living in society to help prevent other people's kids from getting COVID." I believe you are making a distinction that makes you feel better, and you're free to do that, but still, in practice there is no difference. That's not a lie.

  5. The more I think about it, I could see the starting lineup as: YC, JN, JP, TH, and FO Main subs: FT, GJ, ML (little bit of RW and AL) Once we get to conference play, that is what I think will be the primary group.

  6. It took scores of posts before MBMs started calling each other idiots and liars. That's progress. Group hug.

  7. Super weird how heated you're getting and calling me a liar. How you can get fostering hate from my post is beyond me but I wish you the best.

  9. Last time Box and me had to make a road trip with a briefcase, it was in the Miata. Box was shirtless with 1980's runners shorts, flip flops, and for some reason a Tottenham Hotspurs scarf. I don't mind saying it was pretty hot.

  10. You know Spencer Rattler the benched OU QB, got 2 cars. Demarion Overshown Texas LB got his mom a car. This is now the reality and it's in the open instead of hidden. So now to compete you have to adjust to the environment. Texas just agreed to allow student athletes to do NIL with the school trademark logos because they were falling behind the arms race. That's huge. All's fair, in NIL. Look for more unintended consequences like Quinn Ewers (#1 2022 QB recruit)forgoing his senior year to enroll at tOSU because Texas state NIL law doesn't allow HS athletes in on the action. Expect Texas to adjust that to keep kids in HS. So think about that, HS arms race. Imagine Darius Miles or Larry Hughes in High School getting paid NIL. Pandora's box is open, no putting Humpty Dumpty back together, no turning back. Lead follow or get out of the way. I had an idea to crowd source NIL $ for our SLU basketball team. We could pick a player per month, use Patreon to handle the money. Pay the kid whatever we raise then maybe he could sign a SLU souvenir and 1 supporter wins. Or meet backers for post game slingers. Whatever, get creative the skies the limit. What do we need on our team? A recruit? Find em, offer em a NIL deal. Could that help us beat out Tulsa or WKU or whoever? Maybe.

  11. I see where you're coming from Roy. Thanks for conceding the point about places that kids need to be vs. "luxury" events. My kids have to go to daycare every day and they are both under 2 so won't be able to get the covid vax for a long time. I certainly hope their teachers are vaccinated but I'm not really in a position to do anything about it if they're not. Having said that I can see why you feel the way you do about billiken games.

  12. why did i get the vaccines if i still have to behave the same as those that selfishly decided not to? i shouldnt have to wear a napkin on my face because those that chose not to. let them bear the brunt of the discomfort and responsibility. sure i have a less than 5% chance of still getting the chinese flu virus, but even then the chances of it being serious is almost nothing. if i choose to roll the dice so i can have a little bit of "the way it used to be", that should be my choice. if one still wants to live their lives in fear and wear the napkin that really doesnt protect anything to make themselves feel better fine. i dont belittle them at all but i sure get mad when i have to continue with the politcal postering of our government. oh i will comply to be able to watch my billikens, but it isnt right imo. and i can voice my displeasure with the discomfort and inconvienence if i want. you mention i might carry the virus to these children. i understand. and if it was somewhere where they cant help but to be like a hospital, school, even a grocery store with their parents, ok i understand that. but the billiken game is a luxury. the parents should be the ones to make the adult decision and stay home if that is a concern. if that is selfish on my part, so be it. i am tired of playing into the control game of the politicians.

  14. @Cowboy II --- I made that up but one has to believe there will be some sort of accounting done somewhere along the line. I can't see the NCAA saying 'here go make money" and then not police it in some way shape or form. Even if it's a simple accounting ledger. As for taking kids out to lunch and slipping them money .... that's like the old Eddie Sutton/FedEx story of years gone by. What part of "name, Image and likeness" are you buying for my nutrition lunch of White Castles, Imo's and Falstaff Lite? I also can't believe Littlebill when he says birthday messages are allowable. I can be convinced otherwise but again, what part of "name, image and likeness" is rendered in "Yo bay-bee, 'sdup. Happy Birthday. Peace Out." What I see Fred and Yuri doing is not only the letter of the law but the spirit of the law as well. Still, at most, chump change. But better than before. Again, time will tell. If I'm wrong on that Cameo stuff, please enlighten me. I remain curious.

  16. The funny thing about this is that the schools who are tired of losing to mid/low majors like Kansas, Michigan St, etc are actually going to be more likely to get knocked out early than they already are. If Kansas played Bucknell 20 times, they probably win 19. If they play Minnesota 20 times, they probably win 16. The CFP gets criticism every year that non major conference teams have no chance. They also let ND/Oklahoma in constantly and they get run off the field. There is a lot of momentum for them to expand just to give some of the lower conference schools a chance. So when people say that basketball should copy the football model, they are saying that they should start with a bad model and then go to what they already have now.

  18. Update: I ordered a large. Once it arrives I can post a photo to show how it fits, but the more I think about it, it would probably be way hotter to just describe it, letting everyone use their imagination.

  19. What if and I know this sounds crazy but...what if the Big 10 bought the Big East conference TV rights? It would protect the Big East from what's definitely coming.

  21. Nothing would change except more money will go to SLU rather than division 3 rowing. It would give basketball schools a bigger voice. Some form of this will happen and it's probably all ready being planned.

  25. No, you’re trying to justify your lying to promote your agenda. Saying parents are responsible for making health decisions for their child is not remotely the same as saying one doesn’t care about sick children. How far do you carry your insanity?? How long have you been demanding health records from people your children may come into contact with??? Should people be denied access to grocery stores, pharmacies or any other public building because they don’t have your stamp of approval? Thanks however for your example of what a fascist society looks like..

  26. HEY, DID YOU GET VACCINATED??????? THEN WHY AREN'T YOU PROTECTED ?????? if you're really that concerned about protecting others, how about banning beer sales at games??? wouldn't that make it safer for the motorist on the road after the games????? oh, but that would hit home.... if you don't want to go stay home, better yet, never leave your house, safety at all costs, right????
