Figured this is on topic with the number of high level Vashon recruits in the the 2025 class alone.  Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Is displaying high school state championship rings as if they were NBA or NFL championship rings a thing?

Coach says yes.

I’m thinking very few have accomplished this so it’s something to be proud of.  Obviously not the clout of higher levels.

I don't think he is showing them off like NBA Championship rings, I think he is showing them off like High School Championship rings. If you are successful at any level, there's nothing wrong with being proud of that.

Like say - if you got it flaunt it.  His success is probably one of the big reasons he got the job.

Yeah. I was a freshman at SLU and noticed the Rockhurst guys still wearing their football state rings and varsity letterman jackets. Absolutely appalling. I love them to pieces as fraternity brothers, but loathed their choices in apparel.

Says the guys who spent August in HS playing video games instead of 2 a days in 105 degrees.

Of all the HS coaches in MO history there is 1 guy with more titles.  Irons is the pinnacle of his profession.  He earned the rings, can certainly wear them.  Expect Irons to be a D-1 coach in 2-3 years.

Hahaha no I played ball. Just never got to that level. Wasn’t a big video game guy, to be honest! We couldn’t afford it.

-good for Coach Irons and I hope good for Vashon, does Jimmy or Joel get the job?

Should be VTIME.  Dark Horse, outside the box hire.

It is pretty clearly a staged photo.  I highly doubt Irons is walking around every day with his fingers full of massive ass rings like Prince John from the Disney Robin Hood cartoon.

I'm more appalled at the subsequent conversation than a High School head coach doing a photoshoot with his state championship rings.
