JMM28
Or the opposite (see Indiana St last year). I don't think we'll have any indication on our team until we get into A10 play. But I know I'll be at the top of the overreaction committee in November either way. I'd say we'll have a good indication on the team by about March 5th. 12 wins, 13 counting UMSL, looking for a new coach by late March. billiken_roy
20 wins Ash MVP For the record, an ash turnaround would seem to be the best hope for salvation. I can't help but think back to 2000-01 and the complete emergence of marice jeffers. That said the last we heard ash was sitting on the bench in the Bahamas. Which makes a lot of sense. Don't play your most talented player.

johnbj14
I'll take a gulp of the kool-aid and say 20 total wins. Bahamas coupled with the preseason practice (which I know everyone has) should have everyone on the same page. I think we are going to shock some teams this year, and if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. TheChosenOne
Could someone set up a survey? It would be interesting to see graphically where the predictions sit. I am a little surprised to see posters predicting 18, 19, and 20 wins, but who knows.
kshoe
Why are some people counting UMSL in their totals? It's an exhibition game and differs from the Rockhurst games in the past.
jimbofive
In some ways, were almost younger than last year, he said. I'm struggling to follow his logic here I think we need to figure out why all three of our off season injuries are foot injuries. Are our guys sleeping with livestock? Operating old carnival ride equipment in sandals? Ballroom dancing with fat, clumsy bit.ches? How come snores is contagious? Rainbows? The Dewey Decimal System? I need answers to all of these mysteries before I can make a ground-breaking, dead-on-balls accurate Marisa Tomei-level prediction about the Bills this season. jimbofive - thinking about different sets of ti.ts and what he's going to eat for lunch... TheA_Bomb
Last Year we were 11-21 Overall A10 3-15 Home 9-9 Away 2-9 Neutral 0-3 SLUbillikens.com lists Away as 2-11 and Neutral as 0-1 but that is not correct because it is counting the games in Corpus Christie as Away and not Neutral. Last season in games decided by 6 pts or less SLU Won 7 at home, Lost 3 at home, Lost 1 away, and 1 neutral site (A10 Tourney) I think the team can be 2 (3 pt) shots better this season either through improved D or shooting So I predict: Regular Season A10 8-10 Home 12-6 Away 4-7 Neutral 0-1 Season 16-14 A10 Tournament 1-1 Overall 17-15 I think improvement is shown by SLU being competitive in most games. Pistol
Going through the schedule game by game, I keep coming up with about 13 wins but sometimes 12 and sometimes 14. I'll say 13-18, which includes a first round exit in the A10 Tournament. 8-4 in non-conference, 5-13 in conference. (Agree with TheChosenOne - is there any way the OP can add a poll in the first post?)
SShoe
16-14 regular season 8-4 non-conference 8-10 conference 1-1 in A-10 Progress, but not enough to turn the non-believers into believers and vice versa.
3star_recruit
If anything the team should benefit from the head start it got in the Bahamas in the early part of the season. Multiple people have done studies on the benefits these trips have on a team's record, especially in the early part of the season. The benefits of that trip should outweigh the team's youth at that point of the season. North Florida played in the Bahamas too.
3star_recruit
16-14 regular season 8-4 non-conference 8-10 conference 1-1 in A-10 Progress, but not enough to turn the non-believers into believers and vice versa. Just for context, there have only been three underclassmen-dominated Billiken teams in the past 25 years who have finished 2 or more games above .500. One of those teams had a one and doner. Another had an all-conference center on it. A really young Billiken team winning 17 games is a pretty big deal.

eastsidejoe
16-14 regular season 1-1 A-10 1-1 CBI p.s. hopefully there aren't any "told you so's" at the end of the year from people that only share their predictions/projections in double secret PMs. Amazingly that occurred last year! no worries
jbizzle09
I'll stick with my prediction during last season that this team will win 20 games, make the NIT and be on the bubble of the NCAA. 18-12 regular season (not counting UMSL) 1-1 A10 tourney 1-1 NIT I'll now go back to lurking.
