OSU wouldn’t have to pay him off in one lump sum, unless there was a negotiation, and any money Ford made from a subsequent job (basketball or not) would be deducted from OSU’s obligation. But still, if Ford found a job for $1 million a year, that’s still $1.4 million per year OSU would owe from 2015 through 2019. I will say this - Ford is the luckiest coach out there. He manages to get people to throw money at him and he never delivers. How does he do it. I will say tonight he looks shook. I guess he figures he won't be able to con the next school given what is going on this year. Not only is he losing but he has a circus around him. I was at the women's game the night before as well as last night's game. The Hawk was flapping for that one too. I've read that that the person (or persons) who does that job is considered a team manager (thus the scholarship) and it may well be that they rotate the assignment some. I thought that the wings looked much larger on the new bird (so more work) but it may be too that the material is lighter. Anyway, it's a job that looks rather grueling.
