Given the number of A10 players who have entered the portal and/or done with college ball, it’s hard to see how the A10 is anything but a 1 bid league next season.   I guess we will see what it looks like in the fall, but right now I’d say if you are in the A10 and want to make the NCAA tournament, figure out how to win the A10 conference tournament.

There is absolutely no way in knowing this year.

It's early in the portal season.  We know a lot more about who's entered the portal, but not much about where they are going.   As always, we need to focus on what is under our control.  If next season is anything like this past season, we will likely need a great OOC record AND 16-2 in the conference for an at-large.

Just my speculation, but I’m guessing he and Ace end up as Nittany Lions.

Id bet on it.  He's the only one from VCU who I could see do really well in the B10

From the VCU Board:

In the last two weeks, I've gone from "cautiously optimistic," through "optimistically cautious," landing at just plain "cautious." At this point I'm holding off on setting my expectations for the '23-24 season. But I plan to have them back to normal for '24-25.

Hopefully we'll have a winning season.

it's amazing what losing a coach can do to a program....by keeping ours, we may possibly be in the best position next season...

Thinking about Nick Kern in Billiken Blue.

Just curious - why so giddy about Kern? Seems like a nice defender, a decent role player, but I don't see much beyond that. Not a good shooter. More turnovers than assists also.

I don't think it's going to happen anyway. He was quoted in the Richmond paper saying that he loves St. Louis, but is from a tough area, so he wanted to get away.

What we need is more elite defenders and Kern is an elite defender.
