Has Wyoming been listed in the top 144?

Last season they were last in the MWC and 9-22. They had three transfers from the PAC 12 dismissed from the team in early Feb and their leading scorer went down with an injury.

Who knows about this season. They had 6 in the portal and 3 that came on board through the portal.

I saw them play Dayton in Chicago last year. Pretty well coached but definitely a talent deficit. I like their coach (Jeff Lindner) and he had a nice resume until last year and you have to wonder if he made bad career move taking the Wyoming job.

Gee whiz why would ESPN hype up one of its own properties?

This field has 2 top 100 teams, maybe. But yeah its great, going to be a real challenge and a spring board to future SLU success. It's not the worst tournament/MTE we've ever been in the last 2 decades. Wait yes it is.

Keep your heads in the sand as we march toward 14 wins this season.

I'll take Wyoming, Charleston, and Wichita State over Mercer, Illinois St., SFA.

The three games in four days adds another challenge.

Here is another quick summary from Field of 68 Daily.  This one is consistent with the other summary.  Game times are listed on the bracket.

Myrtle Beach Invitational: Nov. 16-17, 19

· HTC Center in Conway, S.C.

· The field: Charleston, Vermont, Saint Louis, Wyoming, Wichita State, Coastal Carolina, Furman, Liberty (full bracket)

· Watch it on: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN+

· Early thoughts: The power conference programs are in Charleston, but this might have better games given the quality of Charleston, Vermont, Furman and Liberty in recent years.

So we aren’t picked to be in the top 4 in this tournament, and it would be considered an upset if we were?

Are there other things to do in Myrtle Beach in mid-November?

It’s definitely not a stacked tournament but it’s the tournament we needed.

With all the news pieces and moving parts this is much more beneficial than getting smacked around by experienced tournament teams.

Ouch. Although I guess this is a compliment.

Par for the course when a mid-major program loses a bunch of experienced starters.  For example, Davidson returned Foster Loyer but lost Lee, Brajkovic and Jones last year.  They got slapped around by Charleston in the nonconference and finished 8-10 in the A-10.

Hit the first link to the tourney in my post. There is travel information and a description of what is happening in Myrtle Beach.

This. If we beat Wyoming and CofC wins, we’re gonna have our hands full with the Cougars. Their fans will travel to MB. Kelsey can coach and he returns 3 good pieces off a ranked team tourney team.

Assuming this is Mike Meadows, we are really going to need Ezewiro to get his waiver approved. Not a bad signing though, especially in August.

I assume he is immediately eligible but jesus he's been at Eastern Washington, Portland, committed to Loyola Marymount, committed to Cal, and now is.... yeah. Not a great look.

Can you blame him for decommiting from Cal given the absolute mess that has become of the PAC 10?

He only has 1 year to play so the Pac movement didn't really effect him.
