  2. With Moser leaving that will take even longer. I enjoy watching Loyola and hope they have success. I can’t remember the last player who had Loyola and SLU as the final two choices. Maybe you can help me there. I will wait for BilliesBy40’s answer

  6. How do you destroy a water fountain? I'm not sure even an errant Brett Jolly shot could pull that off.

  7. 6th minute...Foul from behind off of a throw in, far left edge of the box, PK called. Friedrich no problem lower left corner. (it was a foul but questionable PK call there, an early gift for SLU) 14th minute, Larson from Groark. Halverson wins the ball to Groark. Larson far left side alone with nice pass from Groark. Left foot finish. 34th minute, Friedrich saves a Duquesne out of bounds clear, sends perfect far post cross to Caroline Kelly for the header top right corner. 45th minute, SLU scores with 5 seconds remaining the half. Set piece, far right side midfield, Heckel to far left side of the box, deflects off of defender, 3 Billiken players toe touch and in for Copeland. 4-0 Halftime.

  10. I’m concerned a program like Loyola, once a middle of the pack Horizon League team, has made two incredibly deep NCAA Tournament runs with a former Majerus disciple at the helm. All with a budget, facilities and fan base a fraction of ours. I’m not looking to post about Loyola’s success - I’m wondering when our time is going to come and what we need to do to ensure it happens. And how did we let Porter out of our grasp? I understand how the Saint Louis U’s of the world got passed by Creighton and Gonzaga and Marquette. But when Loyola plays Ignatian Leapfrog with us, that’s cause for major concern.

  14. Every fan of a mid major program has to answer that question for themselves. Mid major success stories are often long and boring. In our case, we started in the basement after Crews. We are now a top four team in the conference. The trendline shows that we'll be a top two team in the very near future. Every local 3 star player in the 2022 class is seriously considering us. We've successfully landed impact transfer players since Coach Ford has been here. This is the blueprint for sustainable success at the mid major level. Eventually long-term program success piques the interest of four star recruits. Every mid-major fan base thinks their particular situation should be the exception to this tedious process.

  17. TCU is probably about same size as SLU. They have one of the best coaches in college football, Gary Patterson. Upgraded their football stadium a few years ago. Basketball arena is alright. Decent baseball. They dominated mountain west in baseball and football (ever heard of LaDainian Tomlinson, Sammy Baugh, Davey O'Brian, Andy Dalton). They're competitive in the B12. They belong. Natural rivalry with Baylor (though biggest rival is SMU). Campus is in a nice area of Ft. Worth. Kinda wish SLU and them plus SMU, Houston were all in Conference USA still so I could see games closer.

  18. Good locals are the hardest to get - and yet the only ones we have a chance with. It’s all about winning No one grows up saying I want to be an A-10 Champ and yet non- A10 and non-buy games are few and far between. Many will come to a winning team though That Teddy Valentine no call hurts more than this year’s team. Same w the 34 day pause, S2, Yuri’s injuries this year and last, Thatch’s illness, Gibson’s injury last year, not post season last year...

  19. Travis hasn’t lost his recruiting. I am a broken record here but the equalizing factor of college ball is experience and we were robbed of experience these past 2 years. And success breeds more success and S2, COVID and unfortunate events hampered our success. As Cowboy says best: it’s hard work being a Billiken fan.

  20. Archie Miller has not fallen so low he needs to lap up the Loyola job . Why Moser’s assistant? Because the RM system works and maybe they hope and expect that he will continue the RM system Why more coaches don’t realize is beyond me
