Recruiting - 2016

Really interesting opinions on Moore. It seems like most of you think he's a stretch at this point, but he's definitely drawing interest from some good programs lately - Purdue, West Virginia, St. Joe's. Mizzou and Illinois are keeping an eye on him, as are some other schools. We're definitely his best offer at this point. He definitely scores a ton, but he's not on a good team. He's also incredibly skinny. Not much video available on him at this point.

He's flown way under the radar. I knew nothing about him to this point except his name and school. He'll be interesting to track.

I'd be willing to take a chance on a guy with a little less athleticism if he can shoot. Everything I've seen so far says good shooter. I've never seen him play so I'm not saying offer, but I'd err on the side of more skill slightly less athleticism than athletic but less skilled.

New offer:

Zeke Moore: SG, 6-6, 175, Florissant, MO (Riverview Gardens)Offers: SLU, Evansville, Indiana State, Illinois State, Drake, Northern Illinois, UMKC, Western Illinois, Eastern Illinois, Jacksonville State. Interest: Mizzou, Illinois, St. Joe’s, Purdue, West Virginia, Tulsa, Northern Iowa, SIUC, Missouri State. Latest News: Moore picked up a SLU offer after Crews watched him on Team Ramey this summer. Scouting Report: Moore is a long, lean combo guard who can shoot the three. He has decent quickness and good handles. He needs to develop his frame, athleticism, passing, and defense. Twitter: @zeke_moore24

-guessing no qualification issues

-perhaps a player that can shoot AND make, that would be quite nice

I imagine I've seen Zeke Moore more than the rest of the board combined. I've played pickup with him at North.

He's a fallback. Very similar to Bartley. Long, lean, and a + shooter from deep. His other skills are at best average. I'm not as high on him as 3 star. He is 6'5 or 6'6 and is longer than that. He can score, that is his best skill right now. Sneed is a better player than him, I've seen it first hand.

I think Moore is underrated in the area. He gets no pub whatsoever. He's worth taking a flyer on, but so are the kids on Althoff or the kid on O'Fallon. We don't have a scorer on the roster, besides maybe Yarbrough, and we don't have a scorer who is also a shooter. He fits a role but I'm not sure if his other skills translate to an A-10 level starter.

His coaching at Riverview will have to get better for him to improve enough to be a legit high major D1 player.

Yeah, not to mention there are some other players who have come from the Metro East since then with names like Roosevelt Jones, Kevin Lisch, Tommie Liddell, and Darius Miles, just to name a few.

You put Roosevelt Jones in the same context as Darius Miles?

Also, context clues fellas. Metro east colleges. Tatum played at McKendree.

Looks to be JUCO with an offer from VCU from looking at Verbal Commits.

Also apparently Cortez has an extra bus ticket from NOLA to ATL this weekend. It's round trip and he's not using it anymore. (according to his twitter)

So he'd be cool going without the chartered flights.

Your comment still makes no sense. I'm moving on.

New offer:

Cortez Mitchell: SG, 6-2, 185, Jackson, MS (Pearl River CC)Offers: SLU, VCU. Interest: Creighton, Hofstra, Jackson State. Latest News: Mitchell reported a July 12th SLU offer on Twitter. The Juco Report Elite 150 was held on July 11. Scouting Report: Mitchell is a scoring-minded guard with a nice pull-up jumper. He averaged 14.6 PPG, 4.2 RPG, and 2.9 APG his freshman season at Pearl River. Twitter: @SniperTez2

Anyone know who else might be interested in him? His first offer was VCU a couple weeks ago, then us after the Juco Report Elite 150 on the 11th.

Honestly, his Twitter feed often consists of thoughts like "Is there a better [name sport athlete - golfer, basketball player, etc.] than [name the guy he happens to be watching on TV at the moment]?"

Love ya, Frank.

Is there a funnier female comedian than Amy Schumer right now ?

Is this Pitbull-worthy?

Maybe a different Pitbull song? Does he have one about "maybe we can party later, just have to wait and see" - something along those lines?

Beat me to it! Well, that closes the door in that saga. I guess a SLU offer was never coming or he didn't want to wait for it, anyway.

He should be a very nice player there.
