This likely is going to fall directly on Skinn. There's a lot of funny business going on here. I'm just as much of a Travel Agent as this sham VII company. They used this Vendor (VII) to get a recruit to sign. The vendor (VII) scammed them.

According to a post a X this agency has booked foreign tours for other programs in the past that actually happened.

Then I've misunderstood some of what's been out there. Thanks for the clarification. But I do fully believe that booking this trip with VII was directly involved in the signing of KD Johnson.

So its not a travel agency. This is a guy that has an AAU program, schedules MTEs, and does foreign tours. There are a handful of legit businesses out there that do this kind of work - Sport Tours, Basketball Travelers come to mind quickly. This is an AAU guy that was looking for a "legit" way to sell players to programs. So he started booking MTEs and charging crazy amounts for them. I didn't know he went onto foreign tours as the next part of the human trafficking grift.

I read tours were arranged for Georgia and Tulane in the past.

If I recall correctly SLU went to a Bahamas basketball tour during the Crews era. This was the trip during which Wellmer's freshman year (not sure of the spelling) broke his foot for the first time. This fracture never quite healed properly and the kid spent all 4 years mostly on the bench. He had multiple surgeries and finally had to give up.

So, you're blaming the Bahamas for that?  They could have gone to Mexico and maybe gotten sick from ice cubes. It's all a gamble I guess.

Very strange that GMU is shifting the blame onto themselves, not that strange that the pathetic media is accepting this.

It seems like that AAU coach has something on them and they don't want it to be exposed.

I'm not sure what the risk is here if they let Chris Williams take all the blame. K.D. Johnson is a grad transfer - this is it for him. Are they worried about the Williams relationship for future recruiting? I'm not sure what they wouldn't want to be exposed in the age of NIL. Williams and Revive are shady, just let him take the fall. It makes no sense.

I’d be looking for a new Director of Basketball Operations, and I wouldn’t ever contact that group again if I were George Mason

They aren’t going to blame Williams because Williams was used to launder a payment from the athletic department to Johnson.  They go after Williams, he exposes what actually happened.

So they were never actually going to take the trip? It was all just to put 6 figures more on top of his NIL payment?
