WoW!   According to Verbal Commits, we have 39 open offers to next-year-freshmen (the names align with what Pistol has posted above) and we have three seniors in Swope, Jimerson and Johnson.  And that's not touching of course the portal ---- in or out.

Pretty sure we will lose some to the portal. Every D1 team will.

3 of those 39 have recently come out with lists of finalists that don't include SLU. So it's more like 36 that have been offered by SLU and haven't eliminated us publicly. But a number of those offers came from Ford's staff and aren't players being recruited by Schertz's staff.

Tillery had some good things to say about SLU. Looks like he plans on visiting Seton Hall too, but as of now only has a visited scheduled for SLU.

“The coach there [Josh Scherz] loves how I play and I love their play style, the location and the conference they are in as well. But they really seem like a great program to consider going to.”

Looks like 2025 recruiting is about to pick up.

Anyone who knows or can find the rest, help me out:

Jaden Vance: August 29-31
Jax Kerr: Labor Day weekend?
Jordan Tillery: September 3-5
Isaiah Sealy: September 12-14
Adriel Nyorha: September 26
Dietrich Richardson: TBD

My assumption is that it will be more recent offers, like Jaylen Cross, Luke Laczkowski, Jaylen Lawal, and Abdou Yadd rounding out those 10.

Zyree Collins comments on recruiting.

DePaul: “It’s far from home. I don’t want to stay home, but if I have to I will.

SLU: “It’s home and my older brother went there. So it’s like, if I go there, it’s like carrying the legacy.”

Glad to see the majority of our recruiting going to developing freshman.  Transfers can be a supplement but the idea of builiding a mid major program around them has always been foolish.

Not sure this take is right. With the portal and NIL we will see. I hope you are right but I have my doubts.

Was it foolish of Utah State to do so and beat SLU on the road & finish in the NCAA round of 32, eliminated by Purdue?
