Pistol
We're suddenly recruiting Maryland hard. New offer: B.J. Ranson - PG, 6-0, 160 - Baltimore, MD (Mount St. Joseph) - AAU: Team Thrill (Under Armour Association) - Twitter: @BjRanson Offers: Saint Louis. Interest: TBD. Latest News: Ranson received an offer from SLU, his first D-I offer. (9/11/23) Scouting Report: Ranson is a smart, skilled guard with an energetic game. He's slender but has good length for his position. He has a smooth stroke and quick release, with range past the perimeter. He's an active, pesky defender who creates turnovers. Ranson is the son of long-time D-I assistant Orlando "Bino" Ranson, who most recently coached at DePaul.

We do play games in and around there but DC Metro is the hotbed of hoops in the country. Doesn't seem like a mid major from St. Louis will have much success there. Hopefully the flights are cheaper to DC than Dallas.

Yep, Baltimore, DC, NYC/Jersey, Philly - we have to have a presence in those areas. The best teams in the A-10 typically have East Coast players from urban areas. Also, keep an eye on Michigan - our new assistant has ties to the area - he played collegiately there and recruited Eric Williams for Duquesne. Pistol
New offers: Jasiah Jervis - SG, 6-5, 170 - Bronx, NY (Archbishop Stepinac) - AAU: Wiz Kids (Adidas 3SSB) - Twitter: @Jasiah_Jervis Offers: Saint Louis, St. Bonaventure, Fordham, St. John's, Hofstra, Iona, Manhattan. Interest: Oklahoma, Siena, UMBC. Latest News: Jervis received an offer from SLU. (9/20/23) Scouting Report: Jervis is a long guard who scores on three levels. He spaces the floor and creates opportunities for his teammates, aided by his passing ability. He's a more natural scorer but has the skill set to line up at either guard position. He has defensive versatility, too. He has a nice combination of size, athleticism, and scoring ability. Hassan Koureissi - SG, 6-3, 165 - Bronx, NY (Archbishop Stepinac) - AAU: PSA Cardinals (Nike EYBL) - Twitter: @HassanKoureissi Offers: Saint Louis, St. Bonaventure, Iona, Manhattan. Interest: La Salle, Rhode Island, St. John's. Latest News: Koureissi received an offer from SLU. (9/20/23) Scouting Report: Koureissi is a long, crafty scoring guard who can fill it up on three levels. He's got a good shot from the perimeter and gets to the rim in a variety of ways, switching hands and directions and finishing through contact. His mid-range game features floaters, runners, and bank shots. His brothers are both D-I players: Souleymane (grad transfer at Radford, previously at Richmond) and Oumar (Jacksonville). crymdg2
It looks like Brad Beal Elite 16u won The Peach Jam Title this weekend. @Pistol, are any of these guys other than Jamison White local and are we involved with any of them? Jonny Jordan is a PG at Chaminade and SLU is showing interest. They're also tracking Sheek Pearson (Burroughs), who got an offer from the prior staff, but I don't think this staff has refreshed it yet. I honestly don't understand the logistics of top-tier AAU teams anymore. The non-STL players on this BBE roster are from all over - a few from Tennessee, plus Arkansas, Kansas, and Indiana. I'm not sure how they get together aside from the circuit events where every team is already going to the same place. I guess they're just willing to travel a lot more. I haven't coached in a long time but back in the day you could get players that bordered your state, but there use to be a limit on how many. All 3 MO kids are STL-based.
