JMM28 Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Some value in the betting markets this evening. Last season Jordan had at least 1 steal in 70% of the games he played +10 minutes. DraftKings has Over .5 steals tonight at -120 currently. Wager 50, win 41.66. If you think he is playing over 10 minutes, odds are fairly high that he gets at least a steal. Over 2.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds are -170 and -165 respectively. Also a good wager if you think he's playing 15-25 minutes this evening. But not as good money. Coach314 and majerus mojo 2 Quote
Slu let the dogs out? Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Helluva Q1 for Goodwin: 7 points on 3-3 shooting. Quote
WestPineJunior Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Reggie Miller just called Jordan a scoring point guard Lolz THATS OUR GUY Quote

Bay Area Billiken Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 JGood with 10 points in 14 1st Half minutes. PHX leads @LAL 52-48 at Half. Quote
BJK Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Went quiet a bit in the second half but he’s making it real hard to keep him on the bench. Checked in a few times late when they needed to settle things down. Obviously their two best guards were out tonight explaining his 30 minutes…but to put up 14 against LeBron and the Lakers in a close game that saw him play crucial minutes is amazing. So fun to watch. Quote
Bay Area Billiken Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Jordan Goodwin finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds in 29 minutes. I saw him on one play guarding LeBron, which is amazing. Durant had 39 points, but PHX went cold in the 4th Qtr. and the Lakers rallied to win 100-95. Anthony Davis had 30 and LeBron 21 for the Lakers. Quote

Chucks like he's already in the YMCA old mans league. D is atrocious. Gives minimal effort. 3star_recruit Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Goodwin is shooting roughly the same percentages from 2 and 3 in the NBA as he did as a senior in college. His biggest improvement has been in free throw shooting. In college, practice time is limited by student obligations. In the pros, you have access to shooting specialists and you can dedicate all day to practice if you want. NBA finishing school is good at turning 65% free throw shooters into 75% free throw shooters. almaman and RUBillsFan 2 Quote

SLU_Lax Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 I also agree while he developed at SLU, but will state the obvious that the biggest driving force in Jordan's improvement is Jordan himself. I do think the multiple roles he filled and multiple opportunities to use multiple skills in a game were certainly a help. He got lots of time on ball and off ball. He got to be the primary offensive option and secondary options. He defended multiple opposing positions. His rebounding was obviously remarkable, but he displayed an entire tool of skills while at SLU. I never thought of him as a great shooter, but he was certainly very adequate and was allowed to shoot in close, mid range, and from beyond the arc. The coaches and coaching is a large part of him getting to do all those things. Quote
