Pat McAffee is out there doing alright. This thing is getting a lot of attention and seems really fun. Is anyone having more fun at their job than Pat McAffee? He gave me some dap after I nearly bumped into him coming off The GameDay Set at the Red River Shoot Out.  I had a lot of parking lot bloody Marys and beers (the kick was at 11).

Ream to MLS is looking likely.  Only hiccup is his Fulham contract is through 25. Would a team pay a transfer fee? Or would they release him to free up the money?  Next MLS window starts 18 July.

Saw a rumor on transfermarket that says there’s a strong chance of Tim Ream heading to Charlotte FC, they estimated his value at 800k Euros. Remember though, soccer rumors don’t always come true, but it makes sense as it could help Charlotte FC a lot. Stand by and see what happens.

Dueling For Lincoln beat The Town 3-2 yesterday evening on an own goal in Target Score Time. They take on Borussia Dortmund at 1:30CT on TST website. Dortmunds roster, compared to Bayern, is actually filled with guys who have played professionally, including current and retired Dortmund guys. Weidenfeller is in goal for them, being the most notable.

As much as I'm pro Ream, no way would I recommend paying $800k Euro.  He is 36 and didn't play the last 3.5 months of the season.  As a GM, I'd work a free and take on the some of the salary (assuming Ream agrees). Fulham will be looking to unload the only leverage they have is if multiple MLS teams want him because he's a USMNT player. MLS salary rules are very limiting.

I believe both teams announced their schedules in mid/late July.   I think we are still about a month out.

It will be sooner than that. It varies each year. The schedules are good. There will be a PNW trip.

Do you know if they are playing another game out there besides Portland?    That would be an intriguing trip.

DFL torched Dortmund today 5-2. Wasn't that close. These pro branded teams are pretty much dog poo. Not because they don't have talent, they just never play this way. The team who won it last year is chalked full of Pro Indoor Players/Beach MNT/Futsal MNT guys. Almost all of the teams moving on from 1st or 2nd in their group are heavy on MASL players. There's probably 20 dudes that have played a game with the St. Louis Ambush in this tournament. DFL has a reach chance to take home the $1 Milli.

I was able to open the website you linked, but could not get the rules pages to open up.  What is the size of the field, if you know, and how many players on the field at a time?

Both the men's and women's games against SIUE are on Sunday, September 8. Will those be at CITYPARK again?

Edit: Yes, I know the article says "at a location to be announced later in June". Just seeing if there's any intel out there.

I don’t really follow soccer much, what’s this year’s outlook. Ranked? Team to beat in A10? Schedule w/exception of IU and SMI doesn’t seem as strong as past years to my untrained eye.

7 of the 8 non-conference games are vs last year’s RPI top 50. 5 of them were in the RPI Top 25.

Expectations are high.
