Lassina Traore has starred for 2 years for The Beach.  He barely saw the floor at SLU.

It has already been determined in spades that Ford did not know how to develop players.

Didn't stay up for the Grand Canyon  .. Quietly have had a great season.

Any traction (still)for a West Coast Conference invite?

Exactly, recruiting doesn’t mean much if you can’t develop a player. This is not the only example, and has to be a major reason why Travis Ford is no longer our coach.

Grand Canyon, Seattle U and Denver were in the mix. After the loss of BYU the WCC is down to 9 schools, wants 12. But after the demise of the PAC-12, Oregon State and Washington State are joining the WCC for 2 seasons in all sports except Football (WCC does not sponsor Football) and Baseball, but including Basketball. That will delay further expansion. Seattle U, a Jesuit school, used to be a WCC member. The WCC is looking for further improvement there in Hoops.

With both St. Peter's and Fairfield being Jesuit schools, the Pope had to go to the next criterion, endowment:  Fairfield $433.6M;  St. Peter's $37M.  The Pope, having been labeled a socialist by some observers, accordingly picked the less endowed school, St. Peter's. And thus, St. Peter's won the game 68-63 and snared the MAAC's NCAA Automatic Bid.

When the A10 Tourney was played at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, one wondered if a Bert Parks hologram was going to appear to present the A10 Championship Trophy, and perhaps sing There She Is, Miss America.

It was a good game with the Peacocks a 10 seed pulling it out.  I looked up the schools while watching both have lay-persons as Presidents. I'm curious as I'm an unofficial one man search committee for the next SLU president.  SignGuy might like having Fairfield's president come to SLU he's a former Politics Professor from University of Chicago named Nemec.  I guess all that insurance company money in Connecticut accounts for the difference in endowment.

That NCState game was good too.  UNC may have lost their #1 seed yesterday to Iowa State.  That stings when it happens to in state school.  Duke stubbed their toe too after a decent season.  Texas screwed themselves and will now be an 8/9 playing the 1 seed if they advance.  Texas is so inconsistent and can beat anybody so they can be dangerous it just depends on which team shows up.  If you haven't seen Dillon Disu he's really good all over the court.

Yeah I regret missing a chance to see the A10 tournament in historic Boardwalk Hall.

Believe or not a lot of the insurance companies have left the Northeast (Met left the HQ in NY and transferred operations to Charlotte NC, what is left of JH in Boston is corporate pension plans and management of old policies in a receivership operation, Aetna was bought by CVS and phased out of most life insurance operations). Hartford is not as much "insurance city" as it was before.

Sad not only did Biden do in Ford's chances at SLU he messed up the insurance industry in the NE.

Is UK the biggest question mark in the tourney?  They can win it all or flame out in the first round. So wildly inconsistent with all that talent. UK fans grumbling about Cal will get louder if he has another early exit.

As much as I'd like to blame the feds, Insurance is an issue that each individual state f's up without their help (not counting health insurance of course.)  Florida and California have f'ed things up so bad that many insurers are just not writing there anymore on the P and C side.  I'm not as plugged in to the NE market but if things are going haywire there, blame the governors.....

I was wrong on that Duq BYU game.  Should've realized BYU is dynamite at home. Their atmosphere is crazy and my bias was based on seeing them play at home. Still would've thought they handled business.  BYU fans travel like crazy too

Good for the A10 more money for the conference right

Well, at least it's not as wrong as your suggestion that SLU hire the disgraced former Arizona AD 😉 It's okay. That's why they call it March Madness.
