Two 3 point shooters. What is next?

Hopefully a bonafide star. Surely we can afford at least one.  Optimistic about the transfers so far but I don’t think we’ve found our Jimerson or Swope yet.

That's awesome!

I'd like to see a stretch big, who has played one year of college, can come and be Robbie's back-up next year and then hopefully take over the following year. That may be very difficult to find. And then with the last scholarship, I don't know how well the newcomers play D - so either a defensive stopper or a sharpshooter... I THINK the 3 new guards can all shoot it pretty well, but it wouldn't hurt to have one more. Maybe Hutson can be that guy coming off the bench, but you never know about freshmen.

Jimerson wasn't a star when we signed him and Swope wasn't a star when Coach Schertz got him in the portal at Indiana State.  The only way the A10 can hang onto relevance in the long term is to excel at talent evaluation and fit.

The way this plays out is exactly what we've seen -- two guys with impressive stats moving up and two guys with middle of the road stats moving down.   Let the high majors overpay for the most desired players in the portal.   Hopefully some of them will spend themselves into oblivion.

Wonder if these guys will be in the 8 man rotation or be practice players?  I'm going to guess rotation and others (portal signees, freshmen and hold overs) will take bench/practice rolls.

I trust that Green's health related issue causing him to pretty much miss last season has been resolved and the matter was thoroughly vetted by the staff.

Isn't that what Jax Kerr's roll will be?

Schertz describes Max as more of a wing and not a big... Kerr, I have no idea. I just would rather never count on freshman bigs to contribute in thier first seasons and then hope to be surprised - with 2 to fill, I'd like to see another big in the mix - hopefully a better version of Brockhoff. Competition for playing time is good - use all the scholarships, create competition and depth at every position.

I understand your reticence to depend on a freshman or a sophomore who has barely played for quality minutes.  But this is the perfect situation for Kerr or Pikaar.  We're not asking them to start or play 20 minutes a game.  We just need for one of them to give us 10 minutes a games off the bench.

Pikaar is not going to be the Robbie back-up. We have two more scholarships to give - what positions would you target?

Schertz isn't going to play the frosh 10 minutes/game. He wants a super tight rotation even for a team with no hope of the NCAA tourney. Next year he'll prefer to play Anya 34 mpg than let any of the underclassmen develop. I see no path forward if he doesn't change his thinking on playing time.

Best player with size available.  If he's another 6'8 forward, so be it.

Landing a 6'10 player in the portal with a pulse is tough.  If he has decent numbers, the high majors want him.  If he never got off the bench, then he's probably not better than what we already have.

Don’t we have four committed?  None of them move the needle enough for me to justify that tweet

I honestly don’t know. I more meant, is this someone besides those mentioned already publicly. Including the two in Stu’s piece today.

Is the use of "Roll Bills" (which I hate) a reference to WBB team? Isn't that the team that used that very original cry?

No it's a reference to the women's soccer team. A few of the ladies started saying it ironically, and then it just kind of became a thing. I don't mind it, because of how it came about. I think it still has a thin layer of irony to it, which is fun.

Maybe it's a women's soccer thing then.  But prolly not, unless it's women's soccer portal time.

They're likely just behind Stu's reporting.

I've been wondering if the BVF makes a difference or our NIL is really just a few big money donors the AD/coach communicate with directly.
