St. B+ over the Bills by 10

I changed  St. B to St. B+ for this thread because they are a B+ team.  We remain at C+.  All are Def grades on the report card have improved after the Ford game. A win over the Bonnies would move us to B- and make us one of the "good" teams. The Bonnies meanwhile are a bubble team for now so every game is important to them.

Let's look at the report card and see what the issues are....

...................SLU...............OFF.............St. B+.....................................SLU....................DEF..................St. B

PPG..............F+......................................B- ..........................................A .............................................B-

FG%.............D-.....................................C+............................................B-...............................................B

3P%.............F........................................A ...26th in nation...................C................................................A+  16th in nation

FT%.............F+.....................................B+..................................................................................................

Reb.............B-........................................C..........................................A-.................................................B

Top performers in the nation

Steals... Goodwin....29th

Blks.......French........57th

3P%........Adams.......37th

FT%........Adams.......97th

PPG.......Mobley........92nd

It's all about the 3s...on both ends of the court. St. B+ is one of the best 3pt teams in the country led by Adams with a stunning 47.8%  On the other end , St. B is even better at 3pt defense. Overall St. B can match us on Def and beat us on offense. Can we beat them?...Yes but it won't be easy. Here is how we can do it.....

Slash.....45 /36/ 72 we need a sweep here to have a chance....

Stop the 3.....Keep Adams and Brockington below 40%

Keep TOs down....We had 15 last game...too many...no more than 11....plus we need to have at least 2 better than them

Beat them on the Boards....by 5...we will not dominate them but we need to beat them especially on D reb

FTs........Avoid fouling...Adams and Mobley....both 80% + shooters...a FT war and we lose.

PPG....Hold Mobley to 14pts.

We will have to bring our A game to win this (or at least our A- game)....If we play like we did against Fordham with a few less TOs,  we win.

This is what Adams did to the Dukes on Saturday.

40 points.
14-22 from field
8-13 from 3
7 assists, 1 block and 1 steal

He also made a three pointer with 5 seconds left to win the game 84-81.  He did have three Turn Overs, so he wasn't perfect.  Ha.

Ourtown's Courtney Stockard went for 10 points and 6 boards in 35 minutes of action.

Since the Bills are trending up the last few games, much better than the noncon - is this factored in? Like trending grade?

Box and One  thank you for the post. Its also my favorite!  Ya " The One " must have recently hatched.

Your Courtney Stockard has played well for the Bonnies this year, His story is very inspiring. I hope the St Louis paper does a full article on him.

There is a Bona blog that is calling this a very tight game due to your defense. You guys will get a second chance at the end of he year.

Go RickMa, beat Dayton

Yes, it is factored in....I didn't include a separate trend line in this forecast because it didn't alter the outcome much.........Trend line ....St. B+ by 7

Adams not playing tonight - no big deal. Plenty of bench strength.

Most likely St Louis standout will start.

Should be plenty of welding shops in the Greater Olean Area where you can pick up a temporary replacement for Adams.

Myself, I'm more concerned about available sober bus drivers.
