What type of punishment would you mete out to the girls. If they lied about the sex being consensual then they should receive some sort of punishment. There is still the matter of the third girl who I assume is still saying the sex wasn't consensual. The players failed to realize that they are held to a higher standard of conduct (as they should be) than the regular student on campus. That could be the fault of the athletic program (if there is no program to try and help them realize this) or maybe the players just didn't care (the more likely scenario). As I have said all along the players made the choice to have the encounter and obviously they weren't on board with all of the participants in terms of consent. What you meant to write is as ambassadors for the University, the athletes are prominently public, so their actions and public interactions should reflect the best of the University. It's premise is that colleges go to far in their definition of sexual assault and kids are being penalized severely for what's become a very gray area re: consensual sex. The players attorneys should have this guy handle the appeal. He makes a very compelling case that guys are suffering at the hands of women who simply have regrets or buyer's remorse over their previous nights decisions. If anyone knows how to get this to the involved attorneys, do it.
