Schertz saying in post-hiring interviews that he admired Majerus is offensive. Any coach who allows his team to defend and shoot free throws like that shouldn’t utter Majerus’s name.  Eating and dressing like Rick doesn’t make you Rick.

This is a game that was lost, without a doubt on my mind, by Anya missing 8 out of 11 FTs. Too bad. A loss is a loss, this was a painful one. Now onto the next game.

The chances of that pass being caught cleanly and Avila being able to turn and make a 3?? 
What in the Grant Hill to Christian Laettner was that? 
I would have much preferred hitting a streaking Swope and letting him fire it up off the dribble.

Two quick observations from watching the team huddles:

1 - It looks like the players don't even like each other

2 - Total lack of organization with assistant coaches and Schertz not really taking command. It never looks like he knows what to do. No matter how bad Ford was, he appeared to be in total command of team huddles. You could tell all the decisions were ultimately made by him. Schertz...not so much.

HCJS and SLU lose to 4-7 Wofford while ISU improves to 7-4 and 2-0 in the MVC. We’ve been in first place for a calendar year! Grass isn’t always greener but hey, at least he has more money!

No fire. I’d rather watch a Ford team with some NIL support. Yeah, he wasn’t winning the big games towards the end and yes we dropped one to SIUE but we weren’t this bad. This sucks.
