SLU leads the A-10 in FG% and eFG%, while the Bonnies top the A-10 and are 11th nationally in scoring defense. Wednesday's game also features two of the three undefeated teams in the A-10. Richmond (at Mason on Wednesday) is also 2-0 on the young A-10 season. SLU is 2-0 in the A-10 for the fourth time in its 20 years in the league. The Billikens won their first two conference games both by a double-digit margin for the first time since 1994-95. ABOUT THE BONNIES St. Bonaventure University (St. Bonaventure, N.Y.) enters Wednesday's game 14-1 overall and 2-0 in league play. The Bonnies, who have beat VCU and Fordham in league play thus far, have won eight in a row and are receiving votes in this week's AP Top 25. The Bonnies had their best start to a season since the 1969-70 Final Four squad, led by Bob Lanier, opened that year 12-0. St. Bonaventure's lone loss this year came against Utah State, which is ranked No. 25 in this week's AP Top 25. The Bonnies defeated Providence at the Hall of Fame Showcase at the Mohegan Sun. ABOUT THE HAWKS Saint Joseph's University (Philadelphia, Pa.) has won four in a row and enters Friday's game 10-4 overall and 1-0 in league play. Saint Joseph's defeated UMass 81-72 in its A-10 opener on Tuesday at Hagan Arena in Philly. Five Hawks scored in double figures led by Rasheer Fleming's 16 points. The Hawks had an impressive win over No. 24 Texas Tech earlier this year as they beat the Red Raiders 78-77 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Saint Joseph's won its second consecutive Philadelphia Big 5 championship by beating Villanova, Penn and La Salle earlier this season. Erik Reynolds II is one of the Hawks' all-time leading scorers. He enters Friday's game tied for fourth in career points (1,784) at St. Joe's and is second in career 3-pointers made (295). William Woods is the fourth team "receiving votes" in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25, dated Dec. 11. Four starters averaged double figures for the Owls, led by 6-foot-6 forward Francis Okwuosah's 14.9 ppg. He also brings down nearly eight rebounds per game and is the team's leading 3-point shooter with 29 total 3s. The Lopes and Billikens have a common opponent in Chicago State. Both secured 23-point wins over the Cougars on their home floor. Five Lopes score in double figures, led by JaKobe Coles' 14.6 ppg. Tyon Grant-Foster, last year's WAC Player of the Year, scores 13.3 ppg and averages 2.4 steals. Ray Harrison joins the Billikens' Gibson Jimerson as one of nine active players in NCAA Division I with 2,000 or more career points. For the season, Harrison averages 11.7 ppg. Lok Wur is coming off a career-high 20 points against Chicago State, and he has scored in double figures in four consecutive games. The Lopes rank ninth in the NCAA with 10.4 steals per game. ROMAR RETURNS Former Billiken head coach Lorenzo Romar is in his first season as an assistant coach at LMU. Romar served as the Billikens' head coach for three seasons from 1999-02. He was 51-44 during his tenure at SLU. This season marks the 25th anniversary of the "Miracle in Memphis." The Romar-led Billikens reeled off four wins in four days as the Bills were crowned Conference USA champs at The Pyramid in Memphis, Tenn. SLU knocked off No. 1 Cincinnati along the way to the title.
