TheA_Bomb Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Got to see the #1 team in the country in computer rankings Auburn at Texas. Texas came back from down 20 to get with 3 in the final minutes, to make it exciting. J. Larry played more than Kent. Kent wasn't much of a factor. Larry was alright though he's undersized. AU was bigger at nearly every position. Rodney Terry at Texas reminds me of Crews, he got the job after doing well when the previous coach abruptly exited. His teams play very inconsistent. He's probably not "the guy.' Auburn is legit, they have size, inside and outside scorers, take care of the ball, rebound, play tough D and have an attitude. Tennessee comes to town next, the SEC is brutal this season. Quote
OkieBilliken Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Loved watching Florida pound the living hell out of #1, undefeated Tennessee last night. I married into a family full of UT grads and Vols fans and I like UF because they are a local team. So I spent the evening sh*t-texting in-laws. Good times. cgeldmacher and almaman 2 Quote
OkieBilliken Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Well after watching a disappointing SLU game, watching Mizzou beat the hell out of Florida. FML Quote
mrjoelabs Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Both teams, Slu and Mizzou, faced big road tests tonight that could define their season. SLU failed miserably and Mizzou passed.... Quote
TheA_Bomb Posted January 15 Posted January 15 SEC had a wild week. Bama and UF going down at home. Beard's Ole Miss squad beat Bama on the road. Quote
CenHudDude Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Dayton goes down again. Loses to GM. Ends their 26 game home winning streak. The last team to beat them at home? GM. Quote

Bay Area Billiken Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Last night in WCC SLU opponents’ games: @St. Mary’s 71 USF(CA) 51. USF looked like a completely different team than the one SLU played 12/5/24, has not won in Moraga since 2003. St. Mary’s has won 11 straight over USF but still trails the all-time series 101-91. @Santa Clara 93 Washington State 65. Loyola Marymount 73 @Pacific 68. SLU’s NET actually improved one slot to 109. TheA_Bomb Posted January 30 Posted January 30 #1 in the MVC, Bradley goes down to UIC by 23 points at home. Watching Murray St at Evansville. UE has this 6'7 Italian Freshman, Gabriel Pozzato, w/ 1:40 left he's scored 29. He scored 28 at at UNT (avg 14.8). He shoots the 3 at 32%, doesn't rebound that well (avg 4.2), but has had 5, 4, 3 assists in a game. He missed 8 games this year to an off-and-on lower back injury and played 40 minutes 3 times this season. Sounds like a SLU player to me. The beauty of the portal is that you can watch these lower league games, and you might be watching a guy that'll come to your school. gabriel, TheChosenOne and CenHudDude 3 Quote
