I've given up rating teams in November.  Most teams are still trying to figure it out just like we are.

When do NET rankings come out for the current year?  I get that they need data to answer that, and the data comes from games played this year.  When do they consider they have enough data to properly assess things and start publishing the new NET data?

Here is a very close approximation of the NET.  I have followed this site since 2019 and they come out very close to the NET when the NCAA begins publishing.  As you can see, we have a huge hole to dig out of, 2-2 in Q3 games and 1-0 in Q4 games.  No Q2 or Q1 games to date, although Santa Clara could soon be a Q2 loss, for what that is worth.  This upcoming Jackson State game is another resume killer, a deep Q4 game.

World’s tallest teenager. There are some good videos on him on youtube. Really level-headed and works hard. Unfortunately, he is devoid of footspeed so is a back to the basket player only, once his teammates slow down enough to let him get into position. Has a really nice shooting touch but if he ever sees the floor as a Gator, everything he shoots will be a dunk.

Hasn’t stopped growing. Projected to hit 7’11. Almost too tall to function as a D1 level player. Worth a shot as Florida would only accept him as a walk-on. He developed a connection to the Gators early in high school and decided he was going there one way or another.

Nothing like a team of missouri boys that can win.  He is undefeated with wins over Miami, Vanderbilt, FAU and now K State.  Schertz and Avila would be 0-4 vs that group.

I’ll support he was a good hire for Drake and might have been for SLU. May wanted to make a splash hire, however, and Schertz was one of the biggest ripple makers in college hoops last spring. We’ll just have to see how it all shakes out in March. I just wonder how Drake could get 3 P5 teams on their sched and we got zip.

Don’t know for sure, but a lot of times those contracts are signed at least a year in advance, and Drake was really good the last few seasons under Devries… whereas we were… let’s just say not good.  
 

it’s one of the reasons I’m concerned for next season, you gotta win to get good teams to play you, and we have not been winning vs a very mediocre schedule.  Hopefully Tuesday was the start of a turnaround in that regard.
