Even without henriquez we should have beat that team.    Missed free throws, turnovers, horrible interior defense.   The beavers were not better than us.

We knew missed free throws and turnovers were going to be a problem before the season.  Our interior defense is subpar without French on the floor.

French and Goodwin need help. Bess and foreman are inconsistent. No one else can be counted on. I’ll keep watching but man this season stinks

Bess and French have been our most consistent offensive players.  They've each had three poor shooting nights all year.  Unfortunately, this time they both shot poorly from the field on the same night.

“Cool, see you later Travis and you players? You’re expelled.”

The Admin doesn’t care about athletics

You're right.

So get rid of administration and get somebody in there who realizes the potential of the athletic department.

Then blame the players who put the team in S2.

The virgin wakes up craws out from under his rock to post this.

Saying the administration does not care about athletics because of what is happening with Situation 2 is simplistic and honestly rather stupid.  They do care about athletics but maybe not the way you define caring about it.  Your expectations are not the defining position for how to care about athletics.  They allocate funds for athletics, they built an arena, they hired an expensive coach the basketball team not to mention that the President attendance most every home game - if athletics were not important he would not waste his time.   Now they are apparently a bit befuddled by this matter and maybe suffering from what happens to many - feet of clay.  They can still salvage this matter but time is running out.  Not sure if there is a conduct board that are all women or not - seems a rather odd setup given the current mindset of trying to make things look more like the population it serves.  I do agree the school has sat on this long enough and needs to fish or cut bait.

Eubanks, 29 minutes, 12 points 6 rebounds

French + Foreman + Anthony, 44 minutes, 8 points, 8 rebounds.

When French goes to the bench, we just can't control a decent pivot.  Okay, assume Foreman is injured?  He did take a nasty fall last night and we know his back/hip is a problem.  French needs to learn how to stay on the floor.  No, the refs aren't targeting him.  Ford needs to make French his #1 priority, teaching him how to defend without fouling and certainly improving the FT.  Hack-A French will be the norm. Welmer will be another body, but he doesn't defend the post any better than Anthony or Foreman.  The infusion of the additional players won't solve this problem.

Actually, Welmer started to play with a bit more defensive grit towards the end of last season.

I know i'm biased, but man, it seems like some ticky tack b.s. fouls are consistently being called against Has.  There was one in the first half last night where the offensive man used the off-hand to push Has as the guy drove to the hoop.  Foul called on Has.  He likely fouls too much, but Has isn't getting ANY breaks from the refs.

The problem with this game was the title to the thread, flooding beavers?  They live for floods, and control flooding.  Maybe we should have focused on trapping them?

You flood a beaver on the SLU campus these days and you wind up with a title ix investigation.

French gets in foul trouble, but so does just about every other freshman that plays a similar style to French.  If you want more scoring from our other post players, get Henriquez and Bishop on the court.  When teams have to stop clogging the lane French, Foreman and Anthony will all have more quality chances to score.

Defense is what I want.  Foreman and Anthony had no answer for Eubanks.

Eubanks's numbers were under his season average.  If our guys put up anywhere near their season average, we win this game.  Foreman is a shell of what he was at Rutgers and Anthony is just a guy.  Therefore, we're relying on our freshman werewolf to be on every night.  Not going to happen.  Hope Welmer can play in games starting next week and is back to his normal self a few weeks after that.

Agree.  Foreman appears to be damaged goods and Anthony is tofu.

Eubanks was sick last night, with an IV right before game time.  And he still had a pretty good game against our trio.  Eubanks is not even All-Pac 12 material, yet he scored at will when he got the ball down low.  French staying on the floor another 5 minutes maybe would have been enough to turn the game into a win.

Touché.

I kind of thought about that, and I felt that a complete deluge should do the trick.  Even a beaver can handle only so much.  However, the Billikens' stream is rather low.

Does this mean Anthony is: "A product that is too general in use or appearance, meaning it does not have any special features?"  Or does it mean, "Totally and Obviously Fouled Up?"

If you fry cubed tofu hoping it will resemble stir-fried chicken, you're ensuring disappointment.

French is stir-fried chicken.
