SLU announces that we are joining the Missouri Valley and extending Crews for 5 years after a huge win over GM

May quoted as saying, "What pushed me over the edge was beating GM on the road after getting clobbered twice. GM obviously should have kept Paul Hewitt. We won't make the same mistake here."

The next announcement will be that season ticket prices will go up by double to make up for declining sales.

Too funny, laughing hard in the cube world that I work in.

Rammer seemed to hint that it has something to do with scholarship funding. Maybe the hoop alumni or some other person/group will be funding a one or two hoop schollies per year. Just a guess though.

"At halftime, more than 30 mens basketball alumni will be announced as part of Alumni Weekend"

I think this is the big announcement???

I don't think so. When he mentioned the "announcement during the game Wednesday, Rammer mentioned that there would be Billikens alumni AND an announcement that he hoped we would be there for.

Not related to the announcement, but pretty much the first theme related thing I've seen in a while out of whoever is running the student section twitter. Actually an interesting concept some have used at other universities. More so for football, but making "themes" under the guise of Greek publicity has worked at some DII schools if I recall.
