The Wiz
I wanted to wait a few days after our last game to give the other teams a chance to play at least 1 game before I made the next prognostication. Only one thing to say about SIU-E.......F.....They are an F rated team....This is a bad team. This will be our easiest D-1 opponent of the year. For the nervous Nellies who say don't take them lightly....When you are playing an F team and have a bad game you can still whup them. The SEMO game didn't affect us much....we did what we were supposed to do and remain an A team.
b.hayes
NBTW The freshman/walkons drop our lead from 30 to 28 by the end of the game.

HoyaBilliken
F- rated team, hopefully it is a 40 point beat down and they don't crack 40.

MusicCityBilliken
I always observed that Crews never runs up the score. He'll play the walkons and freshmen to keep the score within 25.

NextYearBill
are the walkons and freshmen instructed not to try at that point?
Old guy
Just to clarify a small point. SEMO played its exhibition pre season game against SIUE, the week prior to the opener against SLU. They did have the two guys, the ones that were temporarily suspended from our game and the other one that left SEMO prior to our game, playing in their exhibition game against SIUE. I cannot find the actual score at this time but saw it before the game against us, SEMO beat SIUE by a wide score, I think over 20 points. Cowboy
SEMO didn't play SIUE in a preseason game. -is this why Old Guy can't find the actual score?? -so much for clarification
The Wiz
FWIW....After 15 points the spread is marginalized...ie law of diminishing returns. By the time you get to 20+ it has little or no effect on future ratings. I don't think this is something only computers know. I think coaches know this too when they bring in the subs. NextYearBill
i see it being 87-43.... 44pt margin
cheeseman
I understand that SIUE is a F team but don't get carried away - we are playing in their house so the score may be closer then if they played us at our place.
RUBillsFan
I've also heard that SIUE will be playing mostly zone defense. If SLU struggles shooting the 3 ball and lacks patience on offense, then it could be a lot closer than it should be just like the first half against SEMO. I'm going to go with SLU by 22. I'll say 80-58.
The Wiz
An interesting side note... This game marks the reunion of Christian Salecich. In the first regular season at Ark (B+) he scored 7 pts in 23 min against a good team as Ark blew out SIU-E 99-65 in Fayetteville. ....2-6 from 3pt...1 FT..2 reb..2 ast..1 steal. ucan2
Will be good to see Christian play again. Thankfully, Fox Pacific is carrying tomorrow night's game in my area. I had zero luck getting any audio or video for the last game.

No... Won't the place be 75% SLU fans? My HS gym (Panther Dome stand up) was probably bigger.
