  1. Nesbitt is the most talented player we have had in the program since Hughes. Nothing he can't do, scores at all 3 levels, handles, passes, rebounds, defends in the post and perimeter. Starting day one is a no brainer. Newcomer of the year in A10 is coming this year along with all conference honors. Perkins will score more but by season end Nessbit will be the best player on the team.

  6. The women's team landed two solid commitments on Monday. Nicastro is from St. Charles West and is a 2022 wing. Donarski is a 2023 PG from Wisconsin. Getting an early commitment seems key in that one.

  7. BART is decent if it goes where you are going. It was planned to circle the Bay, but still does not. LA was built for the automobile, so even with more recent attempts at light rail, the system down there is still very spotty, still insufficient amount of lines. Dodger Stadium is a drive in, primarily automobile accessed ballpark, 1960's. The Stadium itself has been significantly upgraded. But the bathroom lines are way too long.

  8. It would also help to find a make-up date for Central Arkansas (RPI 17). There were some early good results for the conference, like Davidson beating High Point to start the year, but some of those other teams that got some votes in the poll have since come back down to earth. Fordham was even ranked in the first Top Drawer Soccer poll but had two blowout results against ranked teams to start the year. Rhode Island is probably the third best team in the league, and that's the last regular season game. That would be a quality win, too (45 RPI). It would be nice for the NCAA to switch over to this year's RPI rankings, by the way.

  9. Saturday's game is huge. A win on the road at VCU would really solidify the team's profile. VCU is the only opponent on the schedule this year currently in the RPI top 25. The RPI is still supposed to play a big role in the seeding and selection of the men's soccer tournament. SLU's current RPI is 31 with a SOS of 116. VCU is 23 with a SOS of 56.

  11. I like this! But judging by Okoro’s size, length, mobility, Osun is probably the only big guy in the league that can even keep up. And that’s just on 1st glance. My hope is that our outside shooting is improved enough with Perk, Nesbitt, Gibby, Williams, Jones, TJ that teams have to at least try to guard Okoro 1-on-1 inside. If that happens, he’s going to eat the A10’s big men alive.

  12. If the SLU endowment is at $1.5b, that's a 25% increase from the $1.2b reported for 2020, which seems pretty good (if not transformational) and is consistent with an average of the S&P and Dow over the last year.
