Is we’re not an NCAA team this year, it’s an unmitigated failure. It would be a huge black mark on Ford’s resume and subsequently would get remembered alongside everything Goodwin and French have done. Frankly, NITs shouldn’t be something we celebrate around here anymore. for what it’s worth, I’m talking a different level of Billiken than Lisch and Liddell. When we talk numbers in the rafters type stuff, those two don’t really enter that type of conversation.2 likes -
-offering as perspective on how special..... JGood has 1,156 career points, 12.4ppg avg, if we play 30 games and he averages 16ppg he will be 7th all-time leading scorer already top 10 in rebounds, career to date avg is 8.5rpg, if he averages 8.0rpg (and it will be more) over 30 games he will be 4th or 5th in total rebounds depending on HAS career avg to date is 3.5apg, if we play 30 games and averages 3.0apg (and it will be more) he will be tied for 7th in career assists already second in career steals, career avg to date is 1.95spg, if we play 30 games and averages 1.5spg he will be all-time leader with 35 more than AB career avg to date is 34.5mpg, if we play 30 and he is at 34.5mpg he will be 3rd in all-time minutes played -no Billiken should ever wear 0 again -if the season goes close to as I suspect and the ADept wants to unfurl a 5th banner on Senior Night I am good with that -can we stop saying someone will 'replace' JGood? in 21-22 his minutes will be up for grabs but I find it almost impossible to believe there is a 'replacement'1 like

Can't remember all his injuries, barely played this season. Freshman year I was impressed. Had an ability to come off the bench, get active, make things happen...especially for being only a freshman. Team player, decent shooter. Should excel if he can stay healthy, which a year off would help.1 like -
I can’t send a link because it’s subscription, but for anybody who subscribes to the Athletic, there is an article posted on Crutcher about 10 minutes ago that makes it sound like he’s doing everything in his power to try to turn pro (NBA or maybe a 2-way contract between NBA and G-League), and not return to Dayton. That’s not to say that he won’t return, especially with how murky the draft situation is this year...but I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that he comes back to play his senior year, which would CRUSH Dayton.1 like

The four numbers in the rafters are the four players who were named to All-America teams. At this point, there are four major organizations that name three All-America teams each - AP, Sporting News, USBWA, and NABC - and the AP does an honorable mention team, as well. Not all four of our retired jerseys were first-teamers. If Goodwin makes a third team, which is not at all out of the question, then a number in the rafters is quite possible. Just to be clear, I don't know what the school's criteria are at this point. I don't know if they'd recognize all four of the main ones. I don't know if the two Senior All-America (Senior CLASS Award finalists) teams count, either, or if AP honorable mention is enough. I don't know if they'd make an exception for a four-year star who, say, led SLU to its first Sweet Sixteen. Let's hope he has the kind of year where there's no ambiguity about it at the end of the season.1 like

Yes, that's the one. Derrick Brown's buzzer-beating tip-in gave Xavier (No. 14 ESPN/USA Today, No. 13 AP) the perfect ending to a frustrating experience. Brown's putback with 0.1 seconds to go allowed the Musketeers to barely avoid a second-half meltdown and overcome last-minute heroics by Saint Louis' Kevin Lisch in a 70-68 victory on Thursday night. "Obviously we leave here knowing full well we're fortunate," coach Sean Miller said. "He almost singlehandedly beat us down the stretch." ... Lisch had three 3-pointers and a three-point play in the final minute, and his driving layup and free throw with 11.6 seconds to go tied it at 68. Lisch was a career-best 6-for-9 from 3-point range and scored 25 points for Saint Louis, which also got 11 points from Luke Meyer and 10 from Tommie Liddell III. "Our guys don't give up," Lisch said. "We never feel like we're out of the game. while there's time left on the clock you might as well play hard. "I felt like we could have pulled it out there in the end." SLU had 22 at half on 27% shooting. That game felt very much out of hand for most of it, and then Lisch started really going off.1 like

I don’t want to sound condescending, but if people have a problem with seeing too much “politics” on the home page, I would recommend messaging or emailing the Mods directly, rather than starting a thread which will inevitably turn into a discussion or argument about politics.1 like

Guys if you haven’t checked out the interview with Paul Biancardi please do! There’s a great Paul Eckerle story in there but getting Biancardi’s perspective was just a whole other dynamic to add to what we’ve heard from players.1 like

This. OSU was facing 1 violation Rock Chalk is looking at 5. I think the NCAA knows the backlash will be to much to handle if they give them a slap on the wrist. KU fans should be worried.-1 likes
