It's standard operating procedure for P5 programs to slow play that that level of player in their backyard. Because every basic function Twitter (or X, after the horrible rebrand) has been actively destroyed from the inside by its new owner, it's a lot harder to confirm interests. You are now limited as to the number of followers you can see for a given user. It used to be that if a recruit had 400 followers, I would click on followers and see all 400 based on the chronological order in which they started following him. Now I just see the last 70 or so (although there are tabs to see verified followers and mutual followers, so I might get a couple extra there). All of this has resulted in much shorter interest lists for the more recent offers. I just can't officially confirm who's interested. So yes, I'm sure Mizzou is well aware of him and keeping tabs. I would never let my wife (Xavier fan) know about this. billiken_roy likes this

By the way, even if Mizzou is "interested" In Exavier, he's not at the level of talent they've been landing lately. He could continue to improve, things can always change, but they currently have the best group of 2024 commitments in the country. They're at another level at the moment. Pistol
Dietrich Richardson - PG, 6-7, 180 - Peoria, IL (Manual) - AAU: MidPro Academy - Twitter: @DietrichR_11 Offers: Saint Louis, Illinois, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Arizona State, Indiana State, SIU-Carbondale, Bradley, Green Bay, Bryant. Interest: VCU, Duquesne, Xavier, Purdue, Wisconsin, Iowa, LSU, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Boston College, Iowa State, Colorado State, Utah State, San Jose State, Brown, Drake, Northern Kentucky, Holy Cross. Latest News: Richardson received an offer from SLU. He was previously recruited by Josh Schertz at Indiana State. (4/24/24) Scouting Report: Richardson is a big, long lead guard with scoring and big-time playmaking ability. He gets where he wants on the floor, plays with great pace, and creates for his teammates. He has a developing jumper that he can hit off the dribble. He's a disruptive defender. He is the nephew of former Illinois player D.J. Richardson. Coach314 likes this

Pistol
Updated: Trey Williams - PG, 6-1, 160 - St. Louis, MO (Vashon) - AAU: SW IL Jets - Twitter: @treywilliamsjr3 Offers: Saint Louis, VCU, Missouri, Ole Miss, Illinois-Chicago, Southeast Missouri, SIU-Edwardsville, Lindenwood, Louisiana-Monroe, Cal State-Fullerton, Jacksonville, Bryant. Interest: DePaul, Northwestern, Texas, Colorado State, Wichita State, Belmont, Murray State, Drake, SIU-Carbondale, Bradley, Illinois State, Evansville, Yale, North Texas, Milwaukee, Green Bay, Southern Indiana, Texas-Arlington, Jacksonville State, Northwestern State. Latest News: Williams had his SLU offer refreshed by the new coaching staff. (5/4/24) Scouting Report: Williams is a high-scoring guard who scores on three levels. He's effective putting it on the floor and getting to the rim, but most dangerous on the perimeter, where he has a quick release and deep range. He moves the ball around well and thrives in transition.

SLURadioBoy
It looks like basically the whole coaching staff, including Schertz, is following Walsh on Twitter. I would assume that means there’s some serious interest there from the staff.

I expect if/when offers are made that commitments from both will be made immediately after. SLURadioBoy and Zink like this
