SLU offered PF Nicholas Randall from Vashon/BBE. Mizzou was the first to offer and it looks like we're second. I'll have a full bio and more details later today.

Finally got around to it:

Nicholas Randall - PF, 6-7, 200 - St. Louis, MO (Vashon) - AAU: Brad Beal Elite - Twitter: @24_butta
Offers: Saint Louis, Missouri, Kansas State.

Interest: DePaul, Arkansas, Murray State, Southeast Missouri, Louisiana-Monroe, Central Arkansas, Liberty, Northwestern State.

Latest News: Randall received an offer from SLU. (7/27/22)

Scouting Report: Randall is a big, long, strong frontcourt player who makes an impact at both ends. He plays with excellent body control for his age and size, with great footwork, ball control, and awareness of where defenders are. He rebounds both ends aggressively but has a smooth, controlled game overall. He handles it for a big man and thrives in transition.

It's an excellent name with throwback vibes. Sounds like someone who played in the ABA. Maybe his grandpa did? He's technically Chuck Love, III and his dad played NAIA ball in Oklahoma in the 00s. Not sure whether his dad played, though.

Chuck Love, Jr. (the recruit's dad) was an assistant at Nebraska's women's program and just resigned a few months ago after a long suspension. Sounds like a scandal involving a former player but articles won't speculate on what happened beyond the timing of a player's departure lining up with his suspension.

Totally agree about the ABA.  He sounds like someone who would have played alongside the great Jackie Moon.

Michael Sadler 6'10 from Sikeston.  Playing in the Ramey Tournament.  Played for Ramey this Summer.  BBE is after him.  Someone to keep an eye on.

Really nice outside stroke too.  Long, with decent athleticism can block shots well.  Has a long way to go but I think he's taller than 6'10 now could end up 7 foot +.

Any chance he's been to one of Fred's camps down that way?  I would hope that Dr. Thatch could be a good recruiter for us down in the bootheel area.

Speaking of Doctor Thatch, do we know if he enrolled in a PHD program or signed up for another Masters?

Great research on the soccer part! He's a great soccer player from what I hear. As for on the hardwood, PJ is an elite talent. Earl Austin who covers the entire state said he's closer to being ranked 1st than 3rd which is impressive considering Aaron Rowe is a national top 25 type talent and Nicholas Randall is a P5 prospect every day of the week.
