  1. I go every year for the past several years. I haven't seen a W yet, but I am confident it will be different this year. I was equally confident the last two seasons. I'll be looking for you.

  2. @Littlebill--- a win is a must if we are to reach our conference goal. On the optimistic side, getting to 5 and 1 is a realistic goal, as is getting to 10 and 1 providing we win at Davidson and handle VU at Chaifetz. But one game at a time.

  3. I have adopted the position to avoid the GDT thread until the game is over. I only read it when all is said and done. Especially if we win. Less angst, which leads to more sedate viewing. My entire focus right now is on securing a top four seed. A win tonight and a loss by Duquesne (-1) at Bonaventure and we have a two game lead over the #5 Dukes. Plus we have the tiebreaker against the next three teams in Mason, Geedubya and Bonaventure.

  7. This is bizarre. I’ll be monitoring the minutes more closely tonight. Perhaps Valentine is planning a team face lift once we all assume the Ramblers are bottom feeders, and they will take the A10 tourney from the basement. (Or not)

  8. Maybe he didn't. He's rolling with 4 returning rotation players in the starting lineup and no one off the bench is getting more than mid-teens MPG. At 6-11, 0-5 in conference, and having lost 6 in a row - none of which were close - maybe it's time to make some changes. Maybe he has some answers on the bench.

  9. Hope he doesn’t decide to start the transfers tonight and have them light us up.

  10. SLU -5 / -5.5 seems like a good value here. Loyola is a trainwreck. They just lost/booted Saint Thomas from the team. Got pantsed by St Joes on the road by 35. Lost their last 2 home games by 10+ to VCU and GW.

  11. Fernandes (ankle) and Luis (wrist) were both out last night for UMass. Combined, they put up 37 against us. Our Town's Nick Kern with a jam. (22 minutes, 12 points). Kern has started the last 3 games for the Rams.

  13. Numerous A10 alumni in/around NYC helps the case for having the A10 Tournament in Brooklyn, but is a complete non-factor for anything involving Fordham. Go to any Fordham v. A10 game at Rose Hill or simply look at the stands on a broadcast. There are hardly any Fordham fans there, let alone away team fans. The level of interest and activity doesn't justify networking or fundraising events. Rose Hill barely has a concession stand, let alone private suites, lounge areas, catering, etc.... that make it easier to accommodate such events. Very few A10 alumni in NYC care to trek up to the Bronx on Wednesdays or Saturdays. It doesn't help that Fordham doesn't sell alcohol at campus events. What "keeps the alumni happy" is sitting at home and watching the Fordham game on TV, like every other opponent. However, the alumni are probably a little less happy watching Fordham, because they're garbage.

  14. Lasalle makes no sense. We already have a school in Philly, the school is a complete eye sore on the conference in every way

  15. Anthony Bonner had arguably the best single Billiken game ever in a 3/1/1990 OT victory over Loyola, in Chicago. 45 Points, 20 Rebounds and 5 Assists.
