slu72
I know there's been discussion in the 2015 thread, but all SLU recruits should be honored with their own thread. I know it's only a highlight video but his jumper looked pretty good and love the fade aways he was nailing. Thanks for picking SLU.
brianstl
It is nice to land Duke's top target.

ACE
It is nice to land Duke's top target. You can't blame the kid for not picking Duke. He wants to get past the first round of the Tourney.
Cowboy
-this seems like a good get, good work by the staff, now just keep him in the fold until the letter is signed -Be a Billiken.......you'll love it!!

almaman
No mention of Duke pursuit in the St Louis Today piece on his commitment.
NextYearBill
No mention of Duke pursuit in the St Louis Today piece on his commitment. Duke asked the media to keep it on the down low per source
DeSmetBilliken
No mention of Duke pursuit in the St Louis Today piece on his commitment. Because Duke made one phone call. Officially, SLU beat out St. Mary's for Neufeld. Saying we beat out Duke is kind of stretching things.

No it's not. We will beat them on their top target for 2016, too.
kshoe
No it's not. We will beat them on their top target for 2016, too. We need to get sludevil and MB's opinion before we make any formal claims that Neufeld was their top target. He may have only been their second overall target behind that Diamond Stone guy. almaman
so refresh this moron on this year's ('16) recruiting; was this our final pick for next year's incoming players?
NextYearBill
Neufeld and Tatum were going to be Jordan and pippin for Duke

(We're also out of the hunt for Diamond Stone. It is a dark day in Durham.)
DeSmetBilliken
No it's not. We will beat them on their top target for 2016, too. When that happens, they better include that we beat Duke in the article.

He may have only been their second overall target behind that Diamond Stone guy. It tells me Neufeld is a good student for Duke to have looked at him, so he's a minimal risk. You cannot afford to lose a BIG because of academic failures. BIGS are the key. Guards are plentiful. Looks like another "good get" by Crews. Zink
Good team size on the interior, looking ahead. We won't need to play an undersized four. Is Welmer 6'8" or has he grown?

thetorch
I believe he is taller than that. This article lists him at 6'9 for his prep team.
Box and Won
I hope Duke has a backup plan. This commitment could send their program into a tailspin.
stlhoops
Hopefully he turns out to be as good as Manning. Manning was the potential NBA player coming in. Fingers crossed.
