Zink Posted October 31, 2014 Share Posted October 31, 2014 Thanks torch & doowop. If Neufield can develop a respectable jumper from 16', he will be very good - his form looks solid even now. Already seems to have the ability to take one dribble and get to the basket from the top of the lane or the baseline. It looked like he was the biggest guy on the court in his highlight videos, so prepping a year will hopefully provide some opportunities to play against size. Looks like a great find! You cannot afford to lose a BIG because of academic failures. BIGS are the key. Guards are plentiful. Looks like another "good get" by Crews. Your kidding - right. Duke could care less if he is a good student or not - if he can play bb that is all that matters. Duke can finagle keeping him in school without any NCAA sniffing around unlike a school like SLU. DoctorB Posted November 1, 2014 Share Posted November 1, 2014 Neufeld has good hands and feet and moves well, and is a hard worker and excellent student, with high character. He will be matched up in practice with Jolly and is a lot like Jolly in certain respects: a movable part who can do a lot of things pretty well, with high end motor. These guys will grow up together and give us some size for the next few years; once they start hitting the weights and drinking lots of Muscle Milk, we might have a flexible set of big men who are very hard to defend against. Time will tell if either can match Loe for 3-pt. ability... Lancona probably can, but these other 2 are bigger and may still be growing...
